Last night, the self-proclaimed Best Rapper Alive appeared on the worst talk show in prime time. Under the break, Nicki Minaj and Mack Maine give their interview and then a full group performance of “Bedrock”. Asbestos.
Monique is not the Worst show. I Love the show. Elliot, you just hate.

Monique has one of the worst shows right along with the Wendy Williams show.

the art.
family.
the community.
working hard.
for all these niggas and females out in the streets that bump these rappers, thats shit they can all use and need to hear from the nigga they just love hearing punchlines from.
and i’m talking solely about the lil wayne interview. if you’re gonna say the show sucks, come with some concrete information. a good reason.
AND one thing i notice about lil wayne, is he’s a complete jackass to white interviewers. its probably because he knows exactly what i just outlined. they really don’t give a shit, or respect him, his music, or what he does. they’re just sensationalizing what they see as a peak into gangster rap or some other bullshit. but it was all love and respect on mo’nique.
nathaniel: all these interviewers suck. all the ones you mentioned are lame but so is monique. she mad corny and isn’t funny….just like the rest of them.

where were the hard hitting questions if she is such a great interviewer? did she ask about the gun charges he is facing? the time he is facing?

i respect that you can see that those other shows are lame…my comment was more for the site because the slick shit was reserved for mo’nique…while the others never get that type of comment.
i’ll say this though. it ain’t the black cnn or 60 minutes so going right into the scandal would be wack anyway. when TI was doing his rounds on these white shows, all they wanted to talk about was his criminal charges…cuz they like keeping that shit in the front of the viewers and the american public’s mind. this aint a white show though…
what i do respect about mo’nique is ITS ALL LOVE on there. sure the nigga got charges etc etc, but we often times focus on the negative and fail to celebrate when niggas are out here doing big things that young people can learn from. i aint the biggest lil wyne fan, but for a nigga to be in his position, there are fundamental qualities that he obviously possess that are a testament to his success. WE should shed light on that and highlight the good in our folks. cuz the rest of the country is always gon criminalize them.
and i dont think just because she showed respect for dude and was kind to him that that equates with verbal dick sucking. thats chelsea lately’s job.
what i mean by verbal dick ducking is that she is being overly nice to him and not asking him any hard hitting questions at all. if she had a mix, it would be fine but it wasn’t. coupled with her annoying persona, this is why she gets shitted on.
thats the problem with media – and these types of talk shows in particular – in general b/c all of these muhfuckas want access to the stars. if they ask him tough questions, the stars won’t be back so they ask softball questions.
most of these talk show hosts know fuck all about their guests to know what questions to ask. no research = shitacular questions.

Most talk shows are boring they never ask what you wanna hear. Hating on it because of it being Monique’s show is fucked up though. Pretty sure on all the other shows he would get the same kind of questions and shit. It is a talk show after all and they do want to have the guest come back.

Monique is a Comedienne / Actress who just happens to be doing the talk show thing on the side. So, unless she’s interviewing someone with a specific agenda, ie: AIDS, poverty, education, the questions aren’t going to be hard-hitting.

I like that Monique reaches out to the community to instill good values but that won’t keep me tuned in. The way she does it gets on my last nerve.
I hate it every time she starts screaming “Tell the babies…. Tell the babies…..” If I’m not turning down the volume I’m muting out her big mouth and the predictable “UUGGHH UUGGHH UUGGHH GIVE IT TO ME BIG JIM!!!” scream everytime the band plays.
This ignorant behavior will knock ratings down quick – and yes I don’t have to watch if I don’t like it – that’s why I don’t anymore.
