complete cosign. neptunes are my favourite production team :) .

but who the FUCK is dr luke lmao.

  2. Ac@pella! says:

Damn no Justin Smith (Just Blaze for all u slow folk)?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? WOWWWWWW! He made some of the biggest hits to come outta the Roc La Familia, especially in the early 2000′s: Song Cry, Girls, Girls, Girls, What We Do, Touch The Sky, P.S.A., Ignant Shit, etc. I could go on and on and on and they didn’t put Just Bleezy up there???? Excuse my ignorance, but who tha fuck is Dr. Luke???? He must be one of those pop artist producers that made all the Disney kids’ songs. Shit they all sound the fuckin’ same anyway…WACK!…smfh…

  3. WIN BEAT`Z says:

i think lil jon should not be on this list

  4. Where is dre !! says:

HMMM interesting …. WHERE THE FUCK IS DR.DRE ;||

  5. hiphopzilla says:

Where the hell is Dre. He has been more consistant this decade than most people on this list. DR LUKE this is the same guy who produced Flo Rida’s bullshit “Right Round” song. I agree with The Neptunes, Scott Storch, Kanye West, Lil’ Jon and Timberland choices though but Dre has had his hands involved in some of the most commercially successful and most critically acclaimed albums this decade.

  6. ojolo says:

@ ac@pella (dope name btw): just blaze is huge in hip-hop. he produced some of the illest songs in our history. imo, he is a top 4 producer in terms of quality active in this decade.

but this list is presumably based on album sales and single sales. thats just the nature of the list; its not a list based on the best producers of this decade…just the ones involved with the highest selling projects.

  7. Burnum says:

Where the fuck is Dr. Dre…that alone makes the list BULLSHIT!!

  8. JaYSoN says:

Dr Dre is the best producer ever in my books

  9. JayJay says:

WOW no Dr. Dre…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA…yall are nuts. If anybody is making a fuss for anybody other than Dre. you’re stupid. This dude basically cosigned and produced for the top selling artist of the decade(Eminem) and has dropped a complete classic game changing album this decade. Yall are crazy!!!!

  10. Interscope Employee says:

Dre put Eminem and 50 on the map….and he’s not on the list?

    whatever…………

  11. NemesisB3 says:

Bill Boards all bout sales.. they named Eminem best Artist this decade in terms of sales right? Dre Executive produced all his cds… sounds like they fuckd dre in the ass.

  12. NemesisB3 says:

and dres cd came out in 1999 didn’t it?

  13. Ness says:

Those producers are worldwide…they don’t just produce for one label or one artist…pretty much everyone in the industry and diff genres f*ck with those top 10…kudos to the Neptunes…very very well deserved!

  14. mmkayy says:

df is Dr Luke… & lol JD ? his beats are corny..

  15. whatever says:

fuck this list….is there any album in the last 5 years that is produce by dem neptunes that sold multi platinum ? i don’t think so….dem neptunes produce the clipse latest album and shit barely sold 20k………so fuck this list and whoever made it.

  16. mmkayy says:

ok so i googled Dr Luke.. he deserves the spot lmao

  17. sideshowRaheem says:

People need to kill all this “Where is Dr. Dre” talk, he didn’t put out nearly as much music as anybody else on that list. Dre is a legend but unless he ups his out put he’s gonna get surpassed by his competitors.

  18. mmkayy says:

^ if anything Dre is better than JD.. i think darkchild or jim jonsin deserve to be on the list

  19. I.S.A.A.C. says:

I agree with most of the list… Just Blaze and Dre should been on… JD should not… and I’m actually wondering where Cool N Dre, and JR Rodom (spelling?) are. Even if it’s about money, the Runners had huge hits even tho they all sound the same now.

  20. B.Dot says:

JD is very underrated as a producer. Darkchild and Jim Jonsin are too.

  21. devante says:

I think this list goes buy how many hits they produced the Neptune made alot of top 10 hits

  22. I.S.A.A.C. says:

Also, Timbo’s apprentice, Danger, almost single handedly made Britney Spear’s comeback… U can’t front on her production. I’ll bet u see him on next decade’s list.

  23. jimbo says:

FYI Dr. Luke produced Miley Cyrus. ‘Nuff said. And Billboard has nothing to do with who is “better than” who, or quality at all for that matter. It’s all about sales so everyone bitching about “where is (my personal favorite produce)” is wasting their breath.

  24. Van says:

The Megatron Don must have pissed somebody off at Billboard. Because there is no way in hell you can leave JB out of the top ten.

  25. teejay says:

Dr. Dre not only did all of em’s cd’s, produced 50′s biggest hit, but he also had alot of non hip hop hits too. The two gwen stefani and eve track? Mary J. Blige’s best known song family affair? I guess they used statistics but that confuses me too as eminem sold more than anybody…

  26. Big Homie says:

Keep in mind there is a difference between producers and beat makers.

  27. Kelt says:

WTF, Producers of the decade and there’s no Dr Dre?

  28. piano man says:

Where is J.R. Rothem? He made one of the best piano beats ever on Game’s LAX…

  29. _melg_ says:

This has to be based on #1 singles.

Dre is a legend and Just is my fave over most of these producers just for U Dont Know & PSA, but they don’t have the mainstream hits. Stargate, Bryan-Michael Cox, and JD are killing in R&B/Pop (Mariah, Usher, Beyonce, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, the list never ends…).

And Dr. Luke…had never heard of him, but like mmkayy said, Google him. I guarantee that you don’t f with any of his music, but Billboard would…Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, KELLY CLARKSON (couldn’t resist)

  30. Oola Vegas says:

Dr. Dre. has not been heavily evolved this decade, he did put people on but as a producer has not been relevant commercially since 04. All of them up there worked with pop this decade.

I need a writers job here or something

  31. ojolo says:

And Dr. Luke…had never heard of him, but like mmkayy said, Google him. I guarantee that you don’t f with any of his music, but Billboard would…Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, KELLY CLARKSON (couldn’t resist)
    ———

    lol!

  32. mike says:

    dr dre added
    dr luke switched
    for the hiphop/rap/rnb decade

  33. 40COCKS says:

dr luke much props deserve just he don’t produce hiphop does not mean he should not be on the list

  34. koa29 says:

Just blaze & Dre deserve to be up there…. I mean, probably JB more than Dre because Dre only really produces for his artists, not a whole lot of people… JB is everywhere

  35. Drucifer says:

I dont like most of these producers anyway……I’m kinda glad dre aint on that list

  36. koa29 says:

^^^ dont get me wrong with that post, I think Dre is THE BEST hip hop producer of our time. But he only works with his artists, so his material is limited compared to those of say the neptunes or just blaze, etc

  37. B.Dot says:

In JD’s defense all i have to say is: Usher’s “Confessions” and Mariah Carey’s “Emancipation of Mimi” did i mention he produced and wrote “U Got It Bad”?

  38. reall says:

in the club and everything else he did for 50 cent except that fire ft young buck joint…. how we do… the set-up/OH! (obie trice)… jadakiss ft bilal… eve… mary j blige… jayz- the lost one and that other joint from the same albumm… the mothafuckin list goes on… he at least has 1 or 2 major hits… neptunes have 1 drumset… they just to be good… timbo is lost in that pop shit… lil jon had 5 great beats yeah, that one with amerie, the other one with petey pablo and the one with twista…

and just blazeee… come on dipset/ jayz albums that were classics(its been a long time since then)… come onnnnnnnn

  39. Benja says:

wow, i thought dr. dre would be on for at least marshal mathers lp and eminem show, he also got that shit with game too. he has been missing last couple years (until relapse) but over 10 years, should be top 10.

  40. JD says:

dr dre should be on the list but not number one. I think timbo should have been number one. He ruled on the rap, rnb and pop scene. No matter who it was, he gave them a hit

  41. GET off his nuts says:

GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT Dr. DRE SHIT! Damn.. yes he put out 50 and Eminem.. BUT he didnt actually PRODUCE (made beats) for AS MANY HITS AS THESE GUYS ON THE LIST!! Yea he EXECUTIVE PRODUCED which means he overseen alot of those projects.

But he DID NOT actually MAKE THE BEATS (produce) a lot of hits THIS decade.

This is not best *EXECUTIVE PRODUCER* of the decade. Otherwise P.DIDDY would be on the list also.

This is also not the best “TALENT SCOUT* or *CEO* this decade

  42. bLUEPRINTs says:

No Dre, No 9thwonder, No JustBlaze. FUCK THIS TOP 10 LIST ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER TOP 10 LIST PUT OUT BY ANY COMPANY THIS YEAR.

  43. justbeingreal says:

I agree with the list and it’s Hot 100 hits which means purely singles, has NOTHING to do with album sells. I love Dre and he one of the most influential people in my music but he doesn’t make music for the charts solely he is about making classic album cuts like Em’s “Kill You”, 50′s “Heat”, etc.

In the 90′s Babyface ran the game with David Foster just behind him. It’s about hits not albums or quality music then you can argue.

Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t – Jay-Z

  44. justbeingreal says:

BTW: The Neptunes did inspire to want to produce music.

    Check me out @ http://www.myspace.com/freddylong305

  45. Reg Young says:

See, this list is bullshit if Dre is not on it, for the simple fact that he’s DIRECTLY responsible for two of the most influential and top selling rap albums this decade: The Marshall Mathers LP and Get Rich or Die Trying. Furthermore, He’s had hits with the major pop stars as well, including Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige and all of them. And then, to have fucking Scott Storch on here, who wouldn’t even have fucking known how to produce hit records if he hadn’t gone to the Aftermath School of Music, is salt on the wound. Fuck outta here. I’m so mad right now.

  46. Reg Young says:

I’m back…I can understand that Dre’s place is arguable, but the latter half of this decade belongs to Timbo. From “Promiscuous” on, dude RAN the radio…real talk.

  47. tape21 says:

what about r.less? or dre? or justice leauge? what the
