Good things come to those that wait. And after a couple of false starts, 50’s Before I Self Destruct finally saw the light of day last November. First, he tested the waters with “OK You’re Right” and “Flight 187”. Soon after, he made a big splash with “Crime Wave”, “Baby By Me”, and “Psycho”. By year’s end he satisfied his female core with, “Do You Think About Me”. Hate it or love it, but 50 actually delivered.
Agreed, album was dope (B), his discography is one to be happy with. Go Fif!

Great album!!! I play it front to back all day. Too bad radio didn’t pick up any of his singles. He needs Jay to flip the switch and Lyor to make some calls. 50 is a huge artist yet had no support on this album. Do you think about me coulda blew this album the fuc up! 50 you one of the genius cats out there. Don’t stop.
Nice way to try to get back in good graces with 50 after he ripped your boy YN and this site. Like Hov said, men lie, women lie, numbers don’t. It was an ok album, not great. Can u say brick, flop, coaster, frisbee, hahaha!!!!

No, no, no YN!!! And the list started out pretty good with Ross and Mos Def. Then you added Gucci and 50s most unlistenable album?!? Are you kidding me? As someone mentioned earlier, there is no way that it’s better than any of the albums that it’s ahead of. Including Gucci, who at least had some catchy joints on his. And better than Em? There’s a reason that this sold as poorly as it did…
Ok, here’s hoping the rest of the list gets better.

6 is a generous ranking..50 is an ok rapper at best..same old stuff from him..it was better if compared to gucci or oj da juiceman but is that even real competition..all that aggressive content talk was jus a way to talk bout the exact same stuff..yawn
It’s a solid effort by Fif but BISD was one of those CDs that I listened to for like 2 weeks straight and then I got tired of it.

Niggas can hate all you want. Take away the pop singles and this was the hardest shit out all year. I like BP3 but that shit was more pop than hip hop. It’s funny how the game goes. 50 has been consistent. It’s the consumers who haven’t been.
