Guard your Seratos. Last night, Beyonce’s baby sis stepped behind the wheels of steel at Miami hotspot, Mia Lounge. According Niteside, Solo spun into the wee hours of the morning and admitted to “…really having a blast”. Apparently, Solo received a turntable set for her birthday. Under DJ Clue and Kid Capri’s tutelage, the chanteuse has already spun at nightspots in Houston and Chicago. Ok, Mrs. DJ!
Though I’ve never heard Solange spin (obvs), I think she should continue to pursue this. Why not? She’s learning from pioneers and pros, she’s already got gigs under her belt. Plus, lady DJs are killing it these days—Sky, Kiss, Sam Ronson. They rock crowds, (mostly) look good. I love ’em all.
