    BIG UPS!

Many greats about Haiti still unknown. Things even he missed. but props o him for doing his homeowork and repped.

the last line, “Get Aristide out of South Africa” you know he has a Haitian homie putting him on cause the people of Haiti want the exiled Aristide back, not Preval, the current president.
However, getting Aristide back wont do much for country, it will do some, but it still need major resources Arisitide can’t provide.

Heck, the black people owe them. the black people should be helping. They set it off for all blacks to be FREE. And it’s crazy how blacks here sees them as another nation when their one of them, literally.

+1 to Joel. Might cop an album for this alone now.

Actually Aristide is not a plus for the people it was presented as if he was good but in actuality was power hungry, doing major dirt (death squads, gun running and drug cartels with the Colombians) and was eating off the back of the Haitian people. Neither him nor Preval (who is also a US pawn) will do anything it’s up to the people because corruption is rampant within Haitian politics (right now the government is charging 8000 gourdes to help remove families dead members out of the rubble) and it’s been like that since the Duvaliers (father and son) the reason Aristide got kicked out wasn’t only efforts from an internal standpoint but also he got gassed and didn’t want to comply with the US government’s plans for Haiti (IE Clinton) so they didn’t help him the second time around. No one man is Haiti’s savior it’s up to every Haitian to band together and make this change and that’s what my people have to realize. Stop putting your faith in the politics and the illusion that the crooked men present and unite like we once did with Toussaint, Jean-Jacques, Boukman… Remember the words that are written on the flag, it isn’t Le president ki a la force it’s “L’Union fait la force”

  11. MasterAlez says:

I really like the song, and Mr Ortiz really did his homework. In response to what, truth is, said about Aristide. I don’t think bringing Aristide back at this time will help that much either, but Aristide was not a U.S. pawn, and until it’s been proven, I don’t believe that Aristide was a corrupt guy. The main reason, Aristide, was ousted is because he’d not go along with the privatization program, and going back, I think that was a mistake. I agree with you on one major point tho…You can’t put your faith in one person, it’s all about ”UNITY”. And stop the hypocrisy, the double standard game. Washington has always been playing that game with Haiti. Let’s hope that the Obama administration is different.

  12. Master P's Theatre says:

Sounds like the truth to me. Joell always does some real shit.

  13. Joell Ortiz the shit , if yall like this track yall , ull love this one General Steele State Of The Union Address from the new album Amerikkkas Nightmare 2 http://bit.ly/a0HlTT

  14. truth is says:

@MasterAlez agree to disagree on Aristide but that’s not important what does matter is what we do agree on my dude : all that matters is the UNITY to be able to make the proper clean and healthy change the country needs to move forward. It’s up to us the 4million diaspora to step up and link up with the Natif Natal because we have the resources and knowledge to help turn things around. Bless
