The remake of the ‘85 tribute song just got a little bit of Hip-Hop flavor to it. According to producer RedOne, the recording goes down today in Los Angeles with Jay-Z and Eminem added to the mix of more than 100 other musicians. Peace.

Who are you and what have you done with Guru? Seriously, we go from the emotional rollercoaster ride of thinkin' we're gonna lose one of the game's greatest MCs to some sick pathetic soap opera involving a man of no blood or kin relation denying family members the right to see their loved one. Now yes Keith Elam may not wanna reconcile with folks he hasn't been on good terms with for the past seven years but that's his decision not yours. From the outside lookin' in, you seem really shady. And if Guru's nephew claim is true that you signed documents as Keith Elam's brother and your wife as his sister than that's just plain alarming. An abuse of power. Releasing statements to websites and official Twitter accounts in Guru's name when he doesn't appear to be able to speak on his own behalf is also misleading and completely wrong. Be clear: At this point the only thing relevant and important is the status of Guru's health. Nobody gives a fuck about you or 7 Grand. Guru's legacy is Gang Starr. DJ Premier and Guru made classics. You and Guru make crap. And you should get slapped for meddling in family business.
I'm not dissin' but you shoulda stayed missing. Everybody in the club get tipsy. Nobody in the club remember your name. Damn shame.
ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL@SMFH
Gangster rappe & Horor rapper on “We Are The World”

I’m def missing something here *goes to youtube to listen to we are the world* Yep I def am
@ OJ LMAO co-sign nas ,mos def should be on it 2
kanye west is also included in this
cool.
how they going to fit 100 ppl on a song lol
Well Quincy Jones is going for the big names on this. Just like the 1 back in the 80s. So its no surprise dat he went after the 2 biggest rappers in the world.
Does anyone have the patience to listen to 100 artists besides me? Lol.
Anybody remember the “whats goin on” remake after 9/11? That joint wasnt too bad.
i dont think its gonna be exactly 100 artists with solo parts cuz thats ridiculous so if youre worried about the length, then i dont think u have anything to worry about.. theyre gonna be harmonizing and doing ad libs.. also, it says musicians.. it can be people playing the instruments as well.. either way, im pumped.. i wonder what em an jay will contribute.. a verse each? 8 bars each?
They are all going to sing one line each.
Shit. One award show and Eminem comes out from under the rock. We need more award shows STAT.
lol I would love to see the music video for this song. Especially if it’s done just like the original.
I’m sure every artist wouldn’t get a verse. More than likely nothing more than a line or two. Would be interesting how Jay-Z and Eminem (two artists that obviously don’t sing) would get a line in such a R&B/Pop-ish song.

He’s done several awards shows since Relapse dropped. The MTV Movie Awards, the VMAs, the AMAs, the Grammys… not sure how I would react if Em showed up at the Kids Choice Awards. That would be weird… and would probably terrify a lot of parents.
no jayz acceptance speech for DOA ?
kanye seen entering the studio on TMZ’s live stream
they are camping outside the entrance
god damn just blew a load [II]
Need Wayne and Rakim on it also, get all the GOATS on there

Lmfao. That would blow up Nickelodeon’s phones with complaints. Btw I’m pretty sure “We Are The World” is going to have each artist, including Jay and Em, say like 3 sentences probably. Shoot either that or we’re going to have a long ass 1 hour song considering more than 100 artists are tapped for this.
em is going to rip this shit
what are em, jay, and Kanye going to do sing?
If it weren’t for Bruce Springsteen, the video for the original would’ve never took place.
He checked everyone for their egos.
True story.
Uh I like Jay and Em’s music but how are they gonna fit into this? Quincy let’s see what your magic wand is gonna do
CNN just confirmed Carrie Underwood is doing it too! yes! love that girl! She was incredible on the Grammys yesterday in the Michael Jackson tribute.
Lol imagine em singin lyk he did in the beginning of drop the world:
It hurts, but I never show this pain you’ll never know
If only you could see just how lonely and how cold
And frostbit I’ve become, my back’s against the wall
When push come to shove, I just stand up and scream “F*ck ‘em all”
go away alison. this is a hip-hop site.
