    Mary J Blige is one of the only singers around nowadays that might be able to pull this off, but being that its such a classic, people are gonna hate regardless of the end result

    I am really excited to see this, i have seen Robert Plant live, when i saw him at Rockfest, he didn’t even KNOW what state he was in, he is that damaged by drugs, so he can’t write meaningful music anymore because nothing he would write anyways would make sense, the genius he had inside himself he sold to drugs, that was his stairway to heaven. Sometimes artists speak of women, when they are men, and they are actually talking about themselves, but can’t just come out and say it, Orianthi is a great guitarist, she has a really long career in front of her, Travis Barker is the best drummer of this generation, and to do a Led Zepplin cover by one of the greatest drummers of past generations John Bonham was a leader in the 60s 70s. To band geeks, these are our heros, and One was a beautiful remake of a soul searching song so i expect this to smack it in the face and be ten times better. Mary has a beautiful voice. I am very excited to hear this šŸ™‚ !!!!!!!!!!!

    SMH.. I hope she pays a lot of money or at least her record label for this blasphemy to happen.. Rock stars(real rock stars not emo shit or lil waynes attempt) are selling their souls just like the rappers of today.. I.E. Lil Wayne, Drake,(all of young money) 50 Cent, Jay-Z, P.Diddy..

  5. Yeah says:

    Fuck No. Travis Barker definitely isn’t the best drummer of our generation, and could never get anywhere near the genius that is John Bonham. Orianthi and Vai are decent, but nowhere near as skilled as Jimmy Page. Also Randy Jackson is complete doodoo compared to John Paul Jones. This is gonna be garbage. Maybe if they had some truly great musicians backing Mary up, it would be decent, but this version is gonna be garbage. This is about as dumb as remaking We Are The World. Why can’t artists come up with anything original nowadays?

    @yeah

    You don’t know shit homie. Page was one of the sloppiest guitar players ever, he was known for his innovation, not technical prowess. On a technical level Vai rapes Jimmy Page.

    Find me a drummer better than travis barker in our generation in mainstream music.

    You are right about randy jackson, but thats an impossible standard to hold someone to. He can still play bass like a motherfucker.

    They do have some truly great musicians backing mary on this one, I’m expecting this to be pretty damn good.
