  3. Rachael5922 says:

well she definitely ruined her wedding dress.

  4. 730 says:

What makes this dope for someone who grew up loving hip hop? This is hip hop? Maybe I’m not intelligent or “cultured” enough to understand this. I doubt it. When Kanye first came out, I thought he was one of the most talented dudes hip hop has ever seen. He probably still is, but he needs to get back to doing hip hop. THIS SONG IS COMPLETE AND UTTER TRASH!

  5. Swag surfin’ Dementors? Babygirl shoulda had her Patronus game on point.

  6. 730 says:

Dudes must feel like just because they have displayed talent and been successful in the past they can do whatever they want and real hiphop fans will accept it. WRONG! NOBODY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS! YOU DO NOT GET TO BLUR THE LINES OF THE GENERE! Singers sing and rappers rap. Nigga you ain’t Sade!

When Has Kanye Stated That 808s & Heartbreak Was A Hip Hop Album
Answer – Never He Said It Was A Pop Album
    Kill Yourself

  8. G(w)ayne says:

LOL AT THE AUTO-TUNE OVERDOSE AT THE BEGINING!!! XD

  9. alan2000xl says:

@Factual couldnt have written it better myself, he never said 808s & Heartbreak was a hip hop album, He made a pop album and took a chance on doing something that not alot of rappers at his level would ever do and he did it very well but if you dont like it than oh well, if you want a hip hop album wait for his new album or listen to his old albums. loved the song and video.

  10. damanja10 says:

“YOU DO NOT GET TO BLUR THE LINES OF THE GENERE!”

You must have the artistic abilities of a mouse

  11. teejay says:

i liked it. Wont watch it again, but i would like that audio, new mix is pretty kickin

  12. T says:

Keep it real to every one saying its not a hip hop album your right BUt this IS a hip hop site. SO maybe this shit belong an POP-Radar.com or something. Honestly the lyrics to this song are from an old tears for fears song, bit down to the melody. I really dont understand the genius of a Rapper that cant sing using autotune and singing on an album. People love to ride wat ever certain ppl do. …

  13. yardie_ute says:

This has nothing to do with how intelligent or “cultured” enough one is to understand this. Man I have a University Degree, about to start Grad School, This video is Bullshit. A mean What the Fuck.
Man Fuck this stupid Kanye Song and Video.

  14. mac DIESEL says:

    @ 730

LAST TIME I CHECKED, KANYE IS A PRODUCER!!!! HE PRODUCES MUSIC!!!! NOT JUST HIP-HOP MUSIC BUT MUSIC IN GENERAL!!!! PAY ATTENTION!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  15. wilkes says:

awesome new take on the song
and a pretty cool video none the less!

  16. alan2000xl says:

@yardie_ute. considering you have a “University Degree”. I would expect you to write in complete coherent sentences because you make no sense.

  17. Dkq5 says:

Why do people on here complain so much? No one is forcing you to click on the news stories they post. If this isn’t hip hop (or rap), then why not just go read news that is?

  18. Nathaniel says:

iono…if the song is about his mother…(which it is)…i don’t understand why he got a white broad with her titties bouncing running from the grim reaper and his gang the entire video. shit just doesn’t correlate. ye has been doing these abstract videos lately, but they completely ignore the direction of the song….just my opinion. kinda like that wack ass Paranoid video with Rihanna. when you HEAR these songs, its hard to SEE a visual that almost contradicts the music and not be like….”no.”

it was straight, shot beautifully and all that. creative, whatever. but i prolly wont watch it again. not enough going on. 3.5 minutes of extreme slow motion just isn’t a good look for me.

  19. Ac@pella! says:

Scary but dope. Fuck what a hater say. Most of ya’ll niggaz r too close-minded to watch some different shit anyway…sooooooo…shut tha fuck up. Anyways, I like how he took the 808’s out and left the takeo drums in with more added strings. Can’t wait ’til “Good Ass Job”.

  20. word?! says:

    You cant call someone

  21. Frontrunner says:

Dope. Ye is dope. That album was dope. Better rapper, but hope he doesnt stop singing…It was better than Kells album, Usher shit, CBrown, etc….Hurry up and reclaim your CURRENT top five spot Ye.

  22. Lay says:

To anyone who is dumb enough not to understand the concept , the girl represents his ex running away from commitment. The grim reaper represents their love dying and her death represents the end of their love. Key sentence.. “Will I ever love again?”
    Simple tings!!!!!

  23. IMjusSAYIN' says:

    simpletons?
    simple things?

Either way, make sense when you insult people.

Furthermore, this song sucks. He can’t sing….AT ALL. The ENTIRE SONG is bitten (lyrics, melody, etc.). And the video is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to redundant and mondane. The concept (about the only thing that @LAY got right) is pretty easy to grasp and to the point, but POORLY executed. That being said…video sucks too.

jus cuz someone incredibly and talented did it, doesn’t make it hot. but a bandwagon nigga will tell u the opposite of that ALL day.

  24. IMjusSAYIN' says:

    incredibly talented*

LMAO…ROTFL, I WAS THINKING THE SAME DAMN THING!!! HARRY POTTER INFLUENCED LOL

  26. So Icy Boi! says:

Fuk dis ILLUMINATI ass video! ..its about him selling his soul to the devil

  27. Lay says:

    @ Imjustsayin’

Simple tings is a Jamaican term love. No need to correct!

How is the video redundant?? It has an artistic concept. I’m sure you and others dont need Kanye to draw a story board of stick men to understand where he is coming from.
The video is VERY artistic and fast forward to what a lot of directors are shooting nowadays.
Yeah it isnt your cup of tea (as us british would say)
    But its dope.
Also the song isnt about sounding on key, its about pain. Many true artists sing from their soul whether its in tune or not!!
P.s. No one isnt talking about no bandwagon, not true artist sticks to a format as you should know as you seem so knowledgeable on all accounts! (sarcasm)

  28. Tired of heads talkin bout what’s real Hip-Hop… Evolve or something. Hip-Hop used to be skin tight pants and block party joints. Then it was Gangster Rap, Jerry Curls, and Gang flags. Then it was Five Percenter culture. Hip-Hop is what the architects of the culture dictate. Period.

If Ye ain’t real Hip-Hop, then who is? And who says? GTFOH!

  29. Busby says:

I think the white chick in da video represents his mom and the hoody dudes represent hollywood trying to pull her in. In the end when she jumps off the cliff is pretty much a metaphor on how is mom died. Thats my best guess…

  30. Eddie Arkadian says:

For those of you complaining that he bit the Tears For Fears song, I have one question: Do you think they give a flying fuck?

    Answer: No

They know that. He had to clear the song with the creators of the song, the label, or whoever owns the rights to it. They cashed the fucking check he or his label sent and kept it moving. Life moves on, La-Di-Da.

I personally like the song. He interpolated the lyrics and melody to express how he felt at a current point in his life.

What hip-hop artist hasn’t done that? Most of the best songs of our genre’s past and current generation have done the same thing. Did you complain when NWA made “Express Youself”? How about Biggie with “Juicy”? Snoop pratically spit “LaDiDaDi” word for word on Doggystyle. 50 Cent did that on all his early mixtapes (His G-Unit remix of De La’s “Baby Phat” is a great example) and Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Jeezy, and other artists do the same thing on their mixtapes to this day.

And it even goes for R&B singers. Ne-Yo’s “Stay Wit Me”. Lloyd’s “You”. Amerie “Pretty Brown Eyes”.

The individuals who make the original music don’t care, so why do you? It’s doesn’t put money in your pocket and it doesn’t financial hurt you.

A wise man once said “No idea’s original. Nothing’s new under the sun. It’s never what you do. But how it’s done.”

I wasn’t really diggin the video. But to each his own.

I just wanted everyone to read what IT’SWHATISAID posted one more time. Truer words were never spoken:

@LAY….”simple tings?” IF its not some bulls**t you pulled outta your asscheek pocket, 1 point for you i guess.

as far as the rest of your argument, your still a moron. The whole “its about pain” argument is no excuse TO SOUND BAD YOU F**K HEAD, its just something people with low musical standards like yourself are willing to accept to give ANY AND EVERYTHING artists do a f***ng pass. Sorry. But not EVERYONE is willing to sacrifice S-T-A-N-D-A-R-D-S the way u are in order to give credit where it IS NOT deserved.

    p.s.
    There’s good music.
    There’s bandwagon good music.
    There’s bad music.
    There’s bandwagon bad music.
How DARE a person who fits the LAST AND WORST category think they’re opinion is valid. lmao.

suck one and die. and last laugh me cuz im not coming back to this post. ANYthing else you have to say will obviously be ignorant and irrelevant. : )

  39. Lay says:

If I’m so irrelevant why respond???
Go suck out your mama, better yet she should of sucked you out of your daddy when he came that night.
    As Clipse would say “Pusssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssy!!!
Now got back to your job at the checkout line of walmart because thats the only thing you seem capable of doing. Faggot ass nigga!!

  40. DJ Feenix says:

Can we get another slow motion, limited storyline video from 808’s? The previous 6 weren’t enough.
