Jay-Z Visits The White House

Looks like Jay finally got to pop bottles on the White House lawn. During his concert last night at D.C.’s Verizon Center, Hov yelled: “I don’t know where you are, but happy birthday. I just came from the White House. And your pop works there. He said, ‘Happy Birthday.'” The shout was apparently to a White House staffer’s son. Officials at 1600 Pennsylvania also confirmed Jigga’s visit and brief meeting with President Obama.

UPDATE: Trigga was there too. Where’s Jeezy?!

Im SURE you wanted to meet Barack Obama too, but that probably wasn’t in the cards. lol.
Of course i could be completely wrong and Bleek got to meet him too, but….

  5. Can says:

IMjusSAYIN’, hating is ugly. really, really ugly. I don’t know if Bleek spat on one of your kids or something, but for everyone’s sake, fall back off dude’s sack.

  11. Big Bird says:

Guess he meant what he said on What We Talkin About.

  12. Live and learn says:

“….A small part of the reason the president is black, i told him i got him when he hit me on the jack….We’ve now seen the dream as predicted by Martin Luther, so you can, sit in front of your computer, posing with guns, shooting youtubes up, or you can come with me to the White House, get your suit up, if you’re stuck on being hardcore, i’ll chuck the deuce up….”. You heard Young Guru speak on the truthfulness in Jay’s lyrics…When pple criticized him for being too sophisticated on Kingdom Come, he was really living that life “…Lunch with Mandela, dinner with Cavalli, still got time to give water out to everybody…”….And when he did ‘Where I’m From’, he was really at that stage in his life…If most rappers talked about whats really happening in their life, there would be less gimmicks…And pple want him to go at Calvin Klein, and Beans, and Jaz, and all these youtube guys…Can’t be serious!

  13. lostme says:

Yeah I think at this point n e one that wants to battle Jay-Z should just 4get it cause that’s the type of juice that’s beyond music i’m stunned my damn self

I guess it’s just the same old Shawn

    Jay-Z “So Ghetto”

  17. Live and learn says:

For real!…i mean when u listen to ‘The Ruler’s back’ on the BP, he speaks about the Un Rivera case, and how he was perceived at that exact time in the public eye…it’s just so many examples…You don’t have to be a multimillionnaire, a CEO or whatever else he is these days to relate…It just makes sense…The evolution from a 26 yr old in 96, to a 40 yr old in 2010…can’t stay stuck in the same place…it’s called Progress….i have respect for that man…I seen him go from Du-rags to earrings, to throwback jerseys, to button ups, from crazy customed rides to maybachs, from saying money aint a thing to saying it’s important to have a good credit, from a new guy in the game to a guy that makes a lot of sense in his interviews and sounds intelligent.

  18. Live and learn says:

Ha, ‘So Ghetto’, brings back memories….99…hip hop was sick back then

  19. crossover1985 says:

hey what can you say? i dare someone to hate on that

  20. Nathaniel says:

    co-sign Live and learn

    BOTH posts.

but nah nigga, some get mad at jay. they’d rather the nigga do the raekwon. (who i love), and have the exact same subject matter, content, and everything in between that he did in 1995…and rae is 40yrs old too.

still drilling the coke mafioso manifesto music. <—as if the nigga is REALLY doin all that shit he be talking bout. niggas got families, kids, and nice finances now. they ain't block burners no more chummies.

gotta love that cuban linx 1 and 2 though, no doubt.

  21. diggsy says:

oh you know they’re not lettin the snowman up in there

  22. M85 says:

Co sign Nathaniel no disrespect to reakwon but the dude took 15 years to do the same thing wit new beats…wit jay it’s all bout progression and if u can’t respect that your whole perspective is whack..and can pple stop askin him to confirm the Obama on the jack line now lol..it’s pretty official

  23. Live and learn says:

If memory serves me correctly, i think this is the 1st time ever we’ve seen an emcee grow in front of our eyes…We’ve seen all the phases of his evolution…and he has to be like the 1st or one of the 1st to have such a consistent career, and longevity…Has there ever been a rapper at 40 that was the best or one of the best of the moment…ever??

  24. mac DIESEL says:

AS FAR AS RAEKWON, CUBAN LINX IS LIKE A STORY OR MOVIE!!!! OBFCL 2 IS AN EXTENSION OF OBFCL 1!!!! RAE PURPOSELY RHYMES ABOUT WUT HE RHYMED ABOUT ON THE 1ST CUBAN LINX ALBUM!!!! IF HE MAKES CUBAN LINX 3 OR 4 OR WUTEVER, IT’S GONNA BE THE SAME THEME (DRUG TALES, MAFIOSO SHIT…) CUZ IT’S LIKE A MOVIE!!!! THE OTHER 2 ALBUMS HE MADE (IMMOBILARITY, CAN’T REMEMBER THE OTHER ONE) WASN’T LIKE THE CUBAN LINX ALBUMS!!!! THEM ALBUMS WASN’T ABOUT DRUG TALES, MAFIOSO KINGPIN SHIT, ETC…!!!! THEM ALBUMS WAS MORE MATURE N SHOWED SOME PROGRESSION WIT RAE!!!! HE PURPOSELY DID THOSE ALBUMS TO SHOW HIS MATURITY N NOT PIGEON HOLE HIMSELF AS THE “CUBAN LINX” RAPPER!!!! JUST WANTED TO POINT THAT OUT YA’LL!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!
