Ludacris & Bill O’Reilly End Beef

After eight long years, Ludacris and Bill O’Reilly have finally made peace. Luda told RadarOnline that he recently caught up with the commentator at an event.

“The first thing I said to him was, ‘I want to meet the guy who has had so much to say about me, but knows absolutely nothing about me.’ He wasn’t expecting to see me, at all. The look on his face when he saw me approaching—priceless….From there, we came to a common ground. To be honest with you, we came together and did an event for charity—as crazy as it sounds. Perhaps everything happens for a reason.”

Back in 2002, Pepsi dropped Ludacris as their spokesman after Bill’s rally against the rapper on his show The O’Reilly Factor.

    soooooo….

    in what way do those comments by ludacris suggest any “beef ending”? they don’t. misleading headline like a muthafucka. unless RadarOnline has more quotes from luda stating such, from what i can see ludacris just ran up on bill’s bitch ass and bill was shook…

    i mean, i’m just sayin. (plays shook ones pt 2)

  2. ironic says:

    ^^^^^^^ what he said…how the fuck is this a ‘news story’?

  3. B.Dot says:

    how is it not? Bill Oreilly is a known rapper racists. So for him to make peace with Luda is important. u guys cant be this dumb

  5. Blakout615 says:

    @B.Dot

    hol up hol up. i didn’t say shit about “how the fuck is this a news story”…i think it is news worthy, but big homie left out the:

    “From there, we came to a common ground. To be honest with you, we came together and did an event for charity—as crazy as it sounds. Perhaps everything happens for a reason.”

    ^part. that wasn’t in the original post. so the headline didn’t match the write up. i was confused to how that suggested any beef was ended. don’t be tryna play me niggas!! hahaha

    @B.Dot

    i saw that 10lb bottle of B.I.G gettin you white boi wasted, lol. glad to see niggas made it out of that 1yr anniv. celebration alive.

  7. ssraheem says:

    Bill O’Reilly is not a racist. People like him, Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh just say crazy shit, most of which they don’t really believe, to get a rise out of people….and it works most of the time. When O’Reilly said that shit about Ludacirs he knew exactly what kind of reaction he was gonna get from the black community. He got his face plastered all over the internet, even more then usual and drew more attention and more ratings for himself. The real dummies of that whole situation were the hip-hop community and Pepsi Co. for actually giving credence to anything he said.

  8. Eddie Arkadian says:

    Big up to Luda for being the representing himself and Hip-Hop in a positive way!!! O’Reilly is one of his and the genre’s biggest critics and I know he had probably been waiting to meet O’Reilly face-to-face for years. Fortunately, when he finally got the opportunity, he approached Bill and displayed the man he is and the man portrays as an entertainer are not one in the same. These other rappers and MCs should take note and use Mr. Bridges as an example of how to act outside of the booth and off the video set.

  9. B.Dot says:

    @nathinel

    no not you, the ignoramous underneath. yeah, that bottle’s still here too! still working on it

  10. Nathaniel says:

    @ssraheem

    the comments you make, the moves you make represent you. if you say ill-informed, racist bullshit about black people, poor people, and hip hop artists as well (all the while giving the pass to hollywood and other institutions run by whites…as well as artists *the osborns/pepsi ad) JUST TO GET A RISE OUT OF US. then you’re an ill-informed, racist bullshitter. it doesn’t matter what the intent is, it’s propagated on malicious grounds. so, among other things that i’m sure are note worthy about bill, he’s one of those old white guys who thinks they’re objective, but their unyielding patriotism makes them racist to the core. he doesn’t need a white sheet on his head to make that obvious.

    same for Limbaugh…his fanbase are some of the absolute most right-wing conservative racist hypocrites in the south (especially) and nationwide. and he thrives off of it…clearly he’s worst than that muthafucka bill. but i do agree with you when you say we shouldn’t give these fuckas the attention we do (although he did help fuck up ludacris’ money, and nas’ chance to reach vtech in a positive way)…so, fuck’em.

  11. Nathaniel says:

    LMAO @B.Dot

    that shit’s GOTTA be flat by now! no matter…bottoms up. and ustream was doin Kwame dirty. shout out to kwame, they just mad at your position my nigga. hold it down! haha, we dark skinned niggas still run it.

  12. Blakout615 says:

    @ ssraheem
    Rush Limbaugh is DEF a racist. Surprised he hasnt came out and jus said it yet.

  13. Cunning Link Quest says:

    squash the beef?! c’mon son… neither of them really give a fuck. they’re both stankin’ ass rich and don’t really need each other to live. but it sounds good to talk that hollywood hyperbole!

  14. ssraheem says:

    @Nathaniel

    Their is a gigantic difference between actually hating a group of people and making outrageous statements in order to get attention. Bill O’Reilly, Glen Beck etc are really no different the “shock jock” shows like Howard Stern they behave a certain way on the air knowing that 50% of the people tuning in are only listening because of how much they hate them. Howard comments about sex and women don’t reflect how a 56-year-old man with 2 daughters really feels he says them because it’s entertaining. The reality of modern day cable news and conservative talk radio is no one wants to hear a rational argument they would much rather hear someone make outrageously one sided statements so they can shake their head in agreement or shout out how wrong the contaminator is. Rush Limbaugh didn’t get a $400 million contract because only conservatives listen to him. I don’t like the things Bill O’Reilly, Glen Beck or Rush Limbaugh say but I don’t think they really feel that way if it was lucrative for them to jump on liberal side of every argument they would do it in a second which is was makes them geniuses. They know how to use there words to get people fired up while they’re cashing in when in reality they’re probably much less passionate about “the issues” then most of the people listening. It’s a hustle plain and simple.

  15. Nathaniel says:

    @ssraheem

    eh…i’ll tell you why that makes little sense. first, racism isn’t synonymous with hate. that would be plain ol racial prejudice. these “comments” you speak of influence the outlook of the people that watch and listen. if you’re white and a big limbaugh and o’reily fan, and they say racist shit just to “get a reaction”, that isn’t changing how intricately those comments shift public opinion, which directly affects the group being slandered mis-appropriately, which allows oppression and things like racism and class-ism to strengthen. this is why bill is a problem, same with limbaugh.

    (and howard stern’s objectifying women has nothing to do with whether he’d do the same to his daughters.)

    these are careers. niggas will say “oh its just a job, i do it for the money…but the things we DO, define us. why? because these are our words and our actions. key words “OUR”. so if i get on TV and dehumanize women for a living, or directly slander an entire racial group, exclusively, and then say “oh i’m not really like that in real life”, its like nigga…this IS real life. thats YOU, doing and saying that. period. no scapegoating.

    and it isn’t liberal for them to jump on the liberal side because they started off nothings, (all they had was their opinion and their beliefs) and over time made a living and a very good one telling it how they see it to millions of people. being liberal out the blue would destroy the brands they’ve so carefully built.

    and as far as Limbaugh and his $400 million goes, “only conservatives” is damn near an oxymoron. the conservatives of america STILL own the VAST majority of the wealth and power in this nation. he ain’t talking to billy joe and his 2 wives in chattanooga’s mountainous region. no, these muthafuckas have plenty money, and his consevative audience is HUGE. aside from the liberals who pay attention to what he says just to de bunk it.

    at the end of the day, you are what you say and do. whether for free or for money. whatever YOU DO, that is who you are. just like these niggas who fuck men and say they aren’t gay. that’s your lifestyle, joe. say what you want, you’re still a homo…pulls out rap sheet for evidence*. same goes for o’reily. limbaugh, all those fools.

  16. loveman15 says:

    Stupid he was only cool because you were face to face. He played you by smearing you and making money while he took food off your plate

  19. ssraheem says:

    @Nathaniel

    Dude all I am saying is their is no reason to get all wrapped up into what these jerkoffs say because they don’t mean it. Glenn Beck for example spent two years working for CNN taking the opposite stance on almost every issue. When the checks came from CNN he felt one way now that the checks come from Fox News he feels the exact opposite. I’m not saying he’s a good person just that he could give a fuck. In order to be truly racist you have to be emotionally involved these guys lack the emotional involvement they just want a payday. Look at it like this, if you worked for a company in which you were in charge of hiring people and you boss says “I don’t want you to hire a black person” and you go along with it. Are you a racist, not necessarily you certainly are a part of the problem and you are acting like a racist, but unless you, as a person, walk the streets leery of black people you are not truly racist. You’re just a guy following orders so that you can collect a check. That’s who these guys are just hosts playing to an audience to get more people watching and listening. And BTW the same goes for some the guys on the left Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton etc. They making a living playing off Glenn Becks of the world.

  20. ssraheem says:

    And “howard stern’s objectifying women has nothing to do with whether he’d do the same to his daughters.”

    Yes, this is exactly my point. Stern does things to and says things about women but he would never want anybody to treat his daughters or his wife the same way. And he would never treat women in the real world the same way he treats them when their’s a microphone in front of him. It’s not real it’s entertainment same goes for Glenn Beck and company.

  21. Ac@pella! says:

    I applaud Luda for stepping up for hip hop and being the bigger man, but FUCK Bill O’Reilly! That bitch ass nigga shits on hip hop every chance he gets, so he can eat a big fat politcal dick for all I care.

  22. Nathaniel says:

    @ssraheem

    1. to be racist you don’t have to be emotionally invested. nor do you have to walk the streets leery of black people. that’s the problem with that word, people don’t understand what it means. when your actions or words serve as vehicles of oppression and degradation of a group of people because of their skin color, you’re racist. not every slave master loathed blackness…a lot of them coming in on the heels of slavery did their thing to feed their families. that was all they knew. does that make them non-racist because they didn’t cackle like super-villains as they cracked whips? no. your definition is too narrow.

    and if you “don’t mean it” and you make a career out of doing and saying it, you’re scum. i don’t care who you are. there’s no integrity in that. you’re talking about REAL people…REAL human beings lives. no passes. none.

    and your stern argument doesn’t work. a rapist wouldn’t want his mother raped. a murderer would cry if his best friend was murdered. if we lynched a group of klansmen, do you think they’d think it was right? NO. that is what makes THEM wrong, they’re hypocrites. thats the essence of injustice, bruh. and lastly, “the real world” is every show stern does. this isn’t the Matrix, and it ain’t Pandora. he doesn’t step into a portal everytime he sits behind his radio chair. your shit just ain’t adding up bruh, but this topic is exhausted i’m done. peace peace

  23. Dashing says:

    @ssraheem

    Good debate but I got to ride with Nathaniel on this one. And I don’t think the “My boss told me to” excuse holds. At the end of the day, you are what you present yourself to be. Your actions and words are what matter to people. If someone secretly hates black people but does everything in his power to help uplift black people – donates to the NAACP, campaigns for black leaders, fights for civil rights, and never says or does anything racist -then he’s not a racist.

    So just because they might not believe all of the hate that they spout and just do it for a check, it doesn’t matter. Their actions is all we can go on. We can’t look inside anyone’s heart. All we can do is judge their actions. And maybe it’s best to say that Bill O’ Reilly’s actions/words are racist, but the main is not. But when you have a history of saying and doing racist actions then you become a racist. It doesn’t matter if that’s motivated by money or anything else.

  24. ssraheem says:

    @Nathaniel

    and if you “don’t mean it” and you make a career out of doing and saying it, you’re scum. i don’t care who you are.

    Yes this is exactly my point Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann, Al Sharpton = opportunist scum who could use there platforms to try to bring Americans together but instead do nothing but drive a bigger wedge between us and for money of all things. They are WORSE then racist because at least the person in the white hood is being honest about the way he feels.

  25. Julie says:

    that video kind of has nothing to do with what Rap-Up reported… Bill O’Reilly makes valid arguments against Luda, as much as it pains me to say. And then O’Reilly flipping out when he’s not on tv…

  26. CLARK says:

    People need to open their eyes and get away from this “fox news” hates black people shit.

    Bill hates the same kind of hip-hop most of us hate… the thugged out money cash and hoes type of shit. To mainstream america thats the only kind of hip hop that exists, you have to digg a little deeper to find the good stuff with a good message.

    I used to think Fox was a bunch of D-bags untill I realized my opinions were based on 5 second soundbites I saw on the Daily Show. Bill is actually a really good guy. When it comes to pop-culture I pay him no mind becuase he is just out of touch and pretty much wrong 90% of the time, but when it comes to real issues hes usually on point.

  27. CLARK says:

    What im trying to say is Bill O’ Reilly is Rapper Racist for sure, but not a Racist Racist lol

  28. Dashing says:

    @ Clark and @julie

    Bill O’Reilly is a hypocrite. He called out Luda for his language describing women in a song. All while he’s sexually harassed a woman and paid her off to be quiet. There’s nothing “on point” about him at all.

  29. Julie says:

    @ CLARK lol

    @ Dashing While I don’t condone whatever O’Reilly has done in his personal life, all I can say is that he’s hardly the first or last person to do something like that.

  30. Drucifer says:

    Doesnt sound like a squashed beef, sounds like a scared old white man who backtracked on his words out of surprise in seeing him there………..

    Bill O’Reilly will be bashing Luda again next week when Battle of the Sexxes debuts at number 1

  31. CLARK says:

    @ Dashing

    A sexuall harrasment case doesn’t affect my opinion on his political views.

    I dont condone it, but it’s really none of my buisness.

    and his point wasnt to just bash Luda, it was to bash Obama for associating with him.

    I love Luda, but I have enough sense to know his music is innapropriate and def. not P.C.

  32. CLARK says:

    and Bill isn’t selling poor treatment of women as his product, all that did was hurt him.

    Luda’s product on the other hand…

  33. yaboitone says:

    Luda still my nigga but he loses half his cool points. lol.

    im all about being the bigger man and turning the other cheek, but at the same time some people WILL NEVER get/deserve a pass. Bill oreilly is one of those people, so F**K luda for goin out like a chump. he shoulda jawed dis faget. this man has spent HIS ENTIRE LIFE (and will continue to spend the rest of his life) disrespecting and trying to destroy ANY AND EVERYTHING hiphop or black people related all in the name of ignorance and fattening his own pockets.

  34. Drucifer says:

    @ Clark

    Bill O’Reilly is a hypocrite, He bitches and Moans for Pepsi to remove Luda from Ads, and said NOTHING when they replaced him with Ozzy Osbourne, a man who sings songs about suicide and portrays a Dark, Gothic Image………..Sounds like Racism to me, or maybe he just hates rap either way, You cant get on a rappers case for being a bad influence and then Give a Rock star a pass for being basically just as immoral and in alot of ways even worse…….My 2 cents anyway, fuck Bill O’reilly and his contradictory opinions………

  35. Dashing says:

    @ Clark

    About his political views, I don’t agree with him and that’s fine.

    Also, Obama associating with Luda probably wasn’t a wise political move.

    I wasn’t talking about O’Reilly’s political views though. I was referring to his comments that got Pepsi to drop Luda as a sponsor. In that situation, he referenced Luda’s lyrical content, specifically his lyrics degrading women, as a reason that he shouldn’t be a sponsor. While he was actually degrading women by sexually harassing a woman. That makes him a hypocrite.

    Also, he’s made racist comments on a number of occasions. I think being a repeated offender of that makes him a racist to me, but again I don’t know what’s in his heart.

  36. CLARK says:

    @ Dashing

    Like I said, O’ Reilly doesn’t promote/ sell degrading women, there is a difference.

    If he really did harass her, sure it makes him sort of hypocritical, but many sexual harrassment cases stem from consensual realationships gone bad.

    That said, I don’t think he had any buisness taking things as far as getting Pepsi to drop Luda.
    Obama needed to drop Luda. Pepsi… not so much.

    Personally ive yet to hear a cry for racism against Bill that i’ve agreed with but I am not a long time viewer so i’d be glad to hear any examples i might have missed.

  37. Thats good, and I def love ludicrous music.. he has them tight fat beats dirty south flava hit sound always from http://www.beatslocker.com the top of his game them beats be banging and club anthem.. keep doing ludi dirty south style hit bound!

  38. CLARK says:

    @ Drucifer

    Your absolutley right, Bill didn’t need to stick his nose into who Pepsi promotes.
    He was mad about the Luda Obama which was reasonable, but he took it too far.
    Calling that racist is going a little too far as well.

    Bill’s views on pop culture are irrelivant and arn’t what you should base you opinion of him on.

  39. CLARK says:

    mad about the Luda Obama thing**

  40. james says:

    O’Reilly stirs up a bunch of crap for ratings. Funny thing is not even a million people watch the O’Reilly Factor each night. Presidents are puppets anyway.

  41. Dashing says:

    @Clark

    The Ludacris thing happened in 2002. It had nothing to do with Obama. That, in and of itself, isn’t racist. At best, it’s a double standard though since, as others have pointed out, Bill O’Reilly had not problem with Ozzy Osbourne being picked up by Pepsi anbd his lyrics promote violence, and satanism.

    Like i said, it’s hard to call anyone racist because no one can look into their heart, but you can judeg them on their words and actions. So since you said you hadn’t heard of anything racist from Bill O’Reilly, here are some comments that were, at best, racially insensitive.

    * “And we went to Sylvia’s, a very famous restaurant in Harlem. I had a great time, and all the people up there are tremendously respectful. And I couldn’t get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia’s restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it’s run by blacks, primarily black patronship. There wasn’t one person in Sylvia’s who was screaming, ‘M-Fer, I want more iced tea.’ ”

    * During an interview for Stuff magazine (11/02), O’Reilly opined that “the most unattractive women in the world are probably in the Muslim countries.”

    * “I’ve been to Africa three times. All right? You can’t bring Western reasoning into the culture. The same way you can’t bring it into fundamental Islam” (5/6/02).

    * “I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels – that is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever – then that’s legit. We’ll track it down.”

    * In talking to Al Sharpton about former KKK Grand Wizrd and outspoken racist he said “You were promoting your people, black people, and he’s promoting white people. So what’s the difference?”

  42. CLARK says:

    the Sylvias thing was stupid to say , the rest i don’t find offensive, but i can def. see why someone could be offended.

    anyways at least your opinion is based on something, i feel like alot of people, including myself not too long ago, just get caught up in the demonization of fox news in general without even watching.

    agreement to dissagree ::hand shake::
