Mister Cee Addresses Biggie Party Controversy

Apparently it was all about the Benjamins. Yesterday, the New York Daily News reported that The Lab hiked prices from $30 to $100 at the door for Biggie’s memorial bash on Tuesday. The night of the event, Puff denied the claim on Twitter. Today, Hot 97’s Mister Cee admitted that he did charge a C-Note to those not sticking to the dress code and revealed that a portion of the proceeds were going to Bigge’s mom, Voletta Wallace.

whatever. Puff started out promoting parties. he know. and Mrs. Wallace got plenty money she don’t need no club door cash.

“The Finisher then revealed that a portion of the proceeds were going to Bigge’s mom, Volettta Wallace.” — Fuck outta here. This nigga lookin’ to cash in, period.

  3. Shawn says:

LMAO….Yeah cause we all know that Mama Wallace, who by all accounts is a dignified women, is eagerly anticipating that “envelope” drop off..SMH
I’m hard pressed to think Ms Wallace is looking for a couple bucks from a Lab party….
And C’mon Son to any thirst bucket that paid a Bill to get in the Lab…

  4. Jay Fingers says:

If there’s a dress code, you should adhere to it. If you don’t and they are still willing to admit you at a higher entry fee, they are being gracious when they don’t have to.

  5. Shawn says:

@Jay…Very true. I’m not sure if you’re from BK or been to the Lab….It’s smack in the Hood bro. You’ve got about 6-7 housning projects in about 2mile radius. They were clear who was going to be at the door. They knew this was not a “dress” crowd or environment…and thats cool. But there’s a little frontin going here. IMO

    Co-sign @ Jay Fingers.

Charging those who don’t adhere to the dress code more than those who do is a pretty common practice. It’s just like the so-called “VIP” line at a lotta clubs that charge extra for the opportunity to skip the long line and walk right in.

  8. Rhyme says:

Mr Cee broke ass, charging 100 dollars for BIG’s party smh.

  9. Will says:

100 dollars for what wearing a white tee fucc that I would change my clothes it would be cheaper I mean yea its like paying for VIP but come on a 70 dollar difference hell Naw he couldve at least said 50 but 100 fuccing dollars to get in GTFOH

its a recession my dude and a dress code is not worth 70 dollars more its not like this was church its party and you trying to charge a nigga 70 more dollars becuz he wanted to wear a 5 dollar white tee if the nigga is wearing the 5 dollar white tee what makes you think he has the money to pay 70 extra dollars than anticipated

and all that Mama wallace shit dont matter she wouldnt try and say becuz a nigga wanted to dress up in his own style imma charge him 70 fuccing dollars

And See You In the streets I wouldnt be saying that on air if its the nigga who didnt want to follow the dress code get yo old ass fucced up talking that shit

  10. paychexx says:

100 to wear your own clothes? Not from brooklyn, but this seems like a hood club and you charging 100? The way I look at it is, they (industry niggas) was hoping street niggas be like ” fuck it I ain’t paying 100″. Never understood dress code anyway, niggas gonna fight regardless what they have on….

  11. D says:

why would any 1 pay all that 2 see Red Cafe/Rick/Ross + Diddy.

even $30 is 2 steep 4 that wackness
