While in L.A. this past weekend shooting his first video off Thank Me Later, Drizzy tells 1515 that despite the mixed reviews from his previous videos, this will introduce us to “Drake The Artist”. “The story is actually interesting. The song is so aggressive, and it’s sort of a love story in the video. It has a lot to do with the album [Thank Me Later]. The album is about finding love, feeling ‘Have I sold my soul’ as far as ‘Will I ever be able to gain the trust of a woman? Will I only be able to be around the dark, evil women? Will I ever find that pure love?’ Those elements are in the video”. Let’s hope this one works out for dude.
song is trash, the hook is him talkin with a tune and it doesnt even rhyme, the verse are ok but i heard better from drake. hopefuly the album doesnt disapoint

The song definitely isn’t the greatest (not for “new Drake standards, and DEFINITELY NOT for 2006-2007 Drake standards, though I’ve come to peace with the fact we’ll never hear him be on some Little Brother ish), but I wouldn’t be a lie if I said I didn’t play it frequently and get amped when I hear it.

Nobody really notices that all Jay does is rap about himself and his life. Same with Drake. He’s rapping about his journey, and he has a perspective that people are interested in.
