Congratulations are in order for Big Boi who recently signed a deal with Def Jam for his solo album, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty. Obviously, the LP’s not dropping next Tuesday, but the deal marks the reunion with former boss, L.A. Reid.
so… he’s back with his original boss… LaFace Records.
Good. Now here’s hoping LA Reid doesn’t give Daddy Fat Sacks the treatment he’s given a lot of other artists on the Def Jam roster.

Been a OutKast fan for yrs. I like Big Boi but this is a bad move..
Def Jam has become the Washinton Redskins of rap.. Pay a shit load of money for “names” instead of developing talent.. A losing formula.
LaFace was a great label.. Because they didn’t sign rappers with 16yrs in the game and a career on a down trend.

like Nas, he did this move, because this label got the strongness to put in a good situation n exposition. i understand well ya point, but i think u forget that he’s not a stupid ass rapper of 16 years old. His album will not have no transformations, he just put the album throught that Defjams distribution, that’s it. and plus, it’s a one shot deal. if their is a problem, it’s on to the next one back wit Jive. so.. let’s we see what happen wit this dope ass cd on the way ! peace
nah it ain’t a horrible move. all the nigga needs is marketing dollars. not development. with Jive he wasn’t getting shit. that’s why the album hasn’t come out, he can’t create the world around it with advertising that he’d like.
you see those wack ass low budget ass videos he’s been putting out. ugh. now hopefully we can get some OUTKAST originality and creativity. fuck.

Congrats to Big Boi, ultimatley this was just to get the album finally out after label issues.
He’s now on a roster with a ton talented MC’s both in touch with the youth and the vets who are legendary.
The problem is Def Jam doesnt feel like developing any of them. Even the established MCs that joined deserved the Def Jam development treatment of the 80s and 90s.
It seems like the only artist they are interested in developing is Rhianna.

From what I’ve heard, the plan is for Big Boi to drop his album in the summer time. Then Andre 3000 is suppose to drop something in the Fall/ Winter.

Though this album is long overdue,im still lookin forward to it. And idk if anybody has mentioned it yet but this is technically Big’s 2nd solo album. Speakerboxxx being 1st.
remember reading an article about 3000’s album where he stated “HATE” motivates him. When ppl say he cant do something,it motivates him to do it. Even dating back to the Southernplayalistic days,the hate Outkast recieved made them go harder. So inconclusion, PLEASE hate on 3stacks so he can get this album done lol
