After 11 solo albums, Face Mob announced that he’s geared to release his first mixtape, Dope Man Music this spring.
“I always wanted to drop a mixtape on my own. So I just said, ‘Let’s drop an independent mixtape.’ I feel that I should be as an adult and musician and pioneer — that’s what they call me. I feel that I need to move on to another stage with the way I deliver my music to the public. I got a lot of shit and I’m using about 3 percent of what I know about music. I’m not using it all. I’m music. I can play that shit long enough for a real musician to catch it and feel me, where I’m going, and we make magic like that.”

Nobody is fiending for a Scarface album? Scarface is wanna of the best rappers alive today period. I gotta give you the Ed Lover C’mon Son face on that statement! Another thing, Scarface never said he was going to do a rock album. If I remember correctly he said he would like to expand his musical horizons and he was in a rock band. I don’t recall ever hear him promoting a rock album. I feel you lil bit about the whole bigger than hip-hop culture, however you gotta realize Scarface wasn’t saying fuck Hip-Hop, he was saying fuck where hip-hop is now. Will, I think u are illinformed brother. I suggest you pick up and listen to Scarface catalog of albums. His last album Emeritus is probably better than your favorite rappers whole catalog.

Scarface was playing instruments back when Wayne was saying “the block is hot”,so to imply that he was doing a rock album because Wayne was doing 1 is beyond funny. IF he was planning on dropping a rock album,it couldnt get a proper release because hes currently a free agent. Rapping is something natural to him,so I SERIOUSLY doubt he started rapping again because Rebirth didnt sell big lmao.
I dont recall Face ever saying “fuck hiphop”,but if he did Im pretty sure it had something to do with the politics of the game,the behind the scenes shit. Him stating his opinion doesnt mean he thinks hes better than the whole culture.
