A statement before the haters combard the comment section. You gotta respect a dude who puts time and effort into his craft and wants to put out great material. So many people phone it in nowadays that it’s great to hear some new blood.

    (J. Cole was great last night too. And is completely different from Drake. There IS room for 2 new light-skinned rappers people!)

If u finished the album then put it out….it will be leaked and i don’t think you’re gonna be happy with ur debut album being leaked….thats just what i think…he could release it may 4th!!

  3. […] I Know everyone is excited to hear this! Drake took to his blog this morning to confirm that his highly anticipated debut is nearly complete. He issued an update that he was working on the final cut on the album. So this might mean that the May 25th release date might not be push backed, and it will come out on that day. I really hope it does because I can’t wait any longer to hear this album. Props to RR. […]

  5. I Know Music says:

    J. Cole is the future. Drake is dope, too.

  6. will says:

Drake always go into these long ass statements and end it with a Movie Line or a famous Quote he reminds me of when the Best Nigga on the team try to be all spiritual and different and shit

  7. Nathaniel says:

    @dashing

i feel you….you gotta respect it. but a bunch of pretty sounding words and flowery diction doesn’t mean he’s putting all that time into it. i’m just saying, from what i’ve heard so far…it’s So Far Gone revamped. i’d rather him not pull out his violin and give us all that blahzay blah. let the music speak for you. everytime i hear an artist talk at length about all the work they’re putting in, dressing up their day to day in bonnets and parasols and sun filled meadow skipping…

the music doesn’t match. shut the fuck up already drake. just drop hot sit. he sounds like he’s just so happy to be here. or maybe i’m just hating. gasp! lol nah but i feel u my dude @dashing

  8. Nathaniel says:

“remember the days of well thought out visuals, album thank you’s, funk flex rants”

^like that shit. nigga we STILL get all that. where the fuck u been? he act like he’s recreating something lost and long forgotten. fuckouttahere.

Thank Me Later better be dope. or it’s curtains for this nigga.

  9. yessir says:

Corn ball ass nigga. Lol. Shut the fuck up Aubrey and drop your album. Let the music talk for your ass. FYI ” Over” is over rated. My opinion.

  10. Manny McCoy says:

well spoken individual i must say.

  11. Courtney says:

HATERS HATERS HATERS…WHEN WILL YALL LEARN?

  12. Elemer Fudd says:

People can disagree and don’t like him. Does not make them haters.

I personally think the bloggers “hating” is very fitting considering all rappers do is brag how they’re this and that and tells us, who makes them, that they’re “so superior” in every song. Drake is one of them.
Sure that’s the art-form, yet sure it will be met with harsh criticism and feedback since arrogance is the standard. Call hate all you want, but i see it fitting.

Until rappers learn to just make music with humility and not constantly portray a superior super hero of themselves the “hate” needs to remains.

I think “bloggers” who don’t make music has way too much to say about the people who do, and that’s why I can’t respect any of you. That’s why it sounds like hatred. I see y’all do the same thing to Kanye. Can a man not write about his thoughts and stuff.

Plus, you act like he sent this out to the blogs. NO. He wrote it on his own blog, and it was posted up.

Only hip hop fans have problems with this . You see other musicians from other genres and fans or even people who aren’t fans alike, still enjoy reading the thoughts of an artist to see where their minds are at.

To me, that’s always made the music better. Anyone who doesn’t understand that just chooses to live in a closed-in, delusional world and should expand their horizon.

  16. Jonesss says:

    ^^^^completely agree,

that’s because the majority of hip hop fans are ignorant stupid fucks.

that’s why album sales are down.. because their is a limited number of educated hip hop fans that work for a living and actually have money to buy them.

i think is see where im going with this.

  18. Uplifting says:

    @Mikedreamsmusic

    AGREE!!!

  19. Uplifting says:

All the other genres in music are uplifting and supportive and thats why their doing so well, because they spread positivity, rap music is full of hate and annimosity, if u dnt like his music thats cool, juss dnt say nuthen and go about ur day, but for us who do we wanna see him win

  20. H.N.I.C. pt. 2 says:

WTF is he acting like its been 10-15 years since an album with good art work or thank yous was put out? uh stimulus package anyone? that has to be the dopest album packaging ever and that just came out. not to mention relapse 2 was great with a nice dedication inside to proof, well thought out album and art too. like nobody bought bp3 ether? if this guy thinks that will set him apart hes dead wrong.
BTW who even buys albums anymore? i will download his shit and bootleg the fuck out of it just to hurt his sales lol! i got drakes new shit for 3$!

  21. mikedreamsmusic says:

…And you’ve just proved my point about hip hop fans. Thank you.

  22. Eyerone says:

for what its worth, i honestly cant wait to hear it.

  23. mikedreamsmusic says:

    I cosign on that.

I actually had lost a little bit of excitement (PAUSE) for Drake’s project, but now I’m starting to feel like I did back when I was anticipating SO FAR GONE. The only difference is there are a bunch more fans now waiting with me. It should be exciting!

  24. Teddy says:

kinda sounds like coles taking shots at drake on his freestyles
