    nigga do the Raekwon, and throw everything on there…lol…you may get “Time” magazines #1 album of the year. 18+ are STILL the requirement…nigga droppin’ 13-14 cuts and getting away with lackluster efforts (fab included)

  2. james bond says:

    and another ??? …does he have a album title set yet????

  3. B.Dot says:

    yeah, but its a secreeeeeet

  4. Nathaniel says:

    i say 15 is solid. the average listener’s attention span is short as fuck these days. if he can sequence 15 perfectly, make it all fit a mood and title the album appropriately, theme it, all that shit. he can get a freshman effort out that’ll be timeless. but that 15 gotta be so tight it’ll damn near bust out the seams.

    and please be conscious of your brand nigga. take your time, but don’t take too much time. yep…the next move gotta be your best one, so calculate. most rappers these days think they gotta saturate the fuck outta the game because that’s what wayne did to set up that 1 mil the first week….but no. that was his path, ya’ll other niggas are gonna have to do it different.

  5. Dashing says:

    ^ Nah, the only thing that prevented Cuban Linx 2 from being a classic as opposed to a very good album was the few filler tracks. If they cut 2 of the weaker songs off it, it would have been classic.

    Likewise with Blueprint 2.1 vs Blueprint 2.Some of the best albums are shorter and more potent (a la Illmatic).

  6. Nathaniel says:

    @B.Dot

    it ain’t “Cole World” or “Cold World” is it? i keep hearing that nigga shout that out. i damn sho hope not….

  7. Dashing says:

    ^I was late. that was actually @ james bond.

  8. jodirt says:

    i think 14 is perfect

  9. Lapaixx says:

    word is bond, [pun intended lol] fabs album was trash. j.cole’s shit will be indeed the dopest fckn album in recent memory, mark my words. dude has the whole package to be one of the dopest rappers of our time.

  10. Cheezydodo says:

    well both of his mixtapes had 20 plus songs and they both was classics

    soooooo

  11. AirEmOut says:

    This dude does more talking then he does recording obviously, step your game up & put some music out…….

    lol @ J.Cole being “one of the dopest rappers of our time”

    There’s a list a 100 rappers strong at the least that were supposed to be the next best thing, let your work speak for you….don’t pull a Drake and go on about your album for a year that no one has ever heard.

  12. Ac@pella! says:

    Nigga 18 for a debut is required!!!! Kanye did it with 2 albums! I hate when niggaz do 10-14 songz (Yes, Common, ur my nigga, but that shit is highly frustrating when u wanna hear more and u can’t) He should put it all on there. No Japanese bonus cuts, no rapradar bonus cuts 6years later on no unreleased shit, none of that. Remeber what u said Jay said (I think lol): U have ur whole life to make ur album. All the things u’ve experienced lead up to that debut.” We need it all Cole. Don’t short change a nigga. Lol.

  13. Ac@pella! says:

    @AirEmOut

    At least the nigga’s actually talking and putting out new verses at shows. Dre’s been takin pics with the weirdest ppl every fuckin week for months, done Dr. Pepper commercials, HP commercials, Beats by Dre @ Best Buy promos, and he’s even about to practice w/ the fuckin Red Sox and Yankees (Why???), but he hasn’t put out ONE fuckin song….Sooooooooo…calm down nigga. He’s doin what he gotta do. It’s called PRESS. He IS a new artist. Dre’s been around for 2 decades damn near and been promising us the mythical “Detox” for just about a decade.

  16. flawda says:

    smart move not putting out another mixtape or flooding the market with music. I’m sick of all these mixtapes and poor quality albums (coughs…lil wayne). I would much rather a dude focus on making a great retail album and stop wasting verses on mixtapes. I can’t wait for his album to drop!

  20. Dark NYte says:

    Hes right about not over saturating the market with his material. to many artist are doing that and people get tired of their songs. Gotta keep a limit of songs out there. keep the people hungry so when drops the album people will be satisfied. so yeahhh.
