LYRICS MAY MEAN MORE TO HIS CARRER BUT IF THE ARTIST CAN’T DELIVER A GREAT PRESENTATION HE MIGHT AS WELL BE HUMMING ON A TRACK ….. GREAT PRODUCTION IS PART OF A GREAT PRESENTATION

THE BEST NAS SONGS ALL HAD HOT BEATS BEHIND THEM …

GO AHEAD TELL ME THEY DIDN’T PLZ … IM BEGGING YOU

GET UR PRODUCERS UP OR SUFFER … RICK KNOWS THIS

  16. my_poop_was_green_just_now says:

um the beat is dope, ross got a nice voice like drake, but like drake he just saying random shit on a track that rhyme, the song title is gay, i thought it would be about weed. and this nigga is a big fat idiot anyway,

  17. BIG 110 says:

YA’LL ARE FUCKED UP… C.O/ NO C. O… THIS NIGGA GOT BARS AND HAS A BEAUTIFUL BEAT SELCTION.

THIS SONG GOES HARD AS FUCK… I KNOW FOR A FACT I’M HITTING THE 101/10 FWY WITH

40 GLOCC HOPPING OUT ON RICK ROSS. CASE CLOSED. NOBODY GOT THE HEART TO

PRESS HIM… 50 CENT PRESSED HIM… BUT RIGHT NOW ROSS IS MAKING BETTER MUSIC.

HANDS DOWN… BUT I GUESS MY STATEMENT IS FALLING TO DEAF EARS… YOU GUYS

THINK DRAKE’S NEW VIDEO SUCKS AND BURN INCENSE.

  18. Dashing says:

    @ seriously,

First of all Nas>Ross. That goes without saying. Ross is NOT nice on the mic. NOT a lyricist. The reason why he has a succesful career though is because he knows what production he sounds good over and he gets the best beats FOR HIM. Not saying that Nas needs to be over Justice League or The Runners but he needs to choose better production. Straight up. His lyrics are above 90 percent of the game, but if you don’t choose the right beats, the dope lyrics get lost in a song that no one wants to listen to except diehard Nas fans. Too many great rappers simply can’t choose the right production for them.

  19. Den says:

He killed this! This is a straight up summer jam!

  20. Milton says:

Listen up everyone! Especially the Rick Ross Haters!!! It seems there is much debate over the beat or tune vs the lyrical content. Well, it is very clear to me Rick Ross understands what great music sounds like! This song is amazing as an instrumental or with Ross. That’s my point!
There aren’t many people who understand or appreciate what it takes to make great music. This generation didn’t have Earth Wind, or Prince to look up to. Hip Hop music is made in a very non traditional way in the sense most of it is prerecorded parts or samples blended into a final product. For those of you who don’t understand music in general, hating on Rick Ross only makes u sound as dumb as you are. Deal with the artist as an artist and don’t let people like 50 cent tell you how phony HE thinks Rick is! Rick Ross Is a boneafide rapper, in all the way’s that count. He understands and appreciates great music! I don’t care if you think him being a C/O discredits him….HE WAS 19, WORKING, AND A BLACK MALE, THAT’S SAYING A WHOLE LOT FOR ANY BROTHER ANYWHERE!! THIS TRACK IS SMOKIN HOT AND ANYBODY WILLING TO ADMIT OTHERWISE KNOW’S NOTHING ABOUT GREAT MUSIC AND NEEDS A LESSON IN WHAT GREAT MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE.

  21. wtf says:

    lol at Officer Ricky.

Even though I can’t stand ricky, this track shits on baby by me. and most songs on BISD. And thats coming from a shady/aftermath/ g-unit stan.

FUCK OFFICER RICKKY. dude is a bitch.

  22. Alex says:

Shouldn’t be about picking beats but rather making songs. This is not better than everything on BISD just b/c of a soul sample. People are tricked by beats so easy. Funny thing I see what’s happening is a lot of people gravitate towards soul samples as being what equates to good and “club” beats equates to bad. 15 years ago people were saying the stuff Timbaland made was wack when it was amazing only b/c of their prefrence for boom bap. 50 isn’t Jay Z or any other kind of “don” type of rapper so he’s not gonna pick those type of beats. 50 makes better songs than most rappers. It’s cool to hate 50 these days though. Kinda funny. 50 will work on a concept, hook, and make sure the beat and his flow all work together. Rick Ross does random alliteration and rhymes on a soul sample and people act like he’s a lyricist like Jay Electronica. Ross isn’t wack though. He’s good with literary techniques but often he’s talking about nothing and when he does talk about something he talks about the real Ricky Ross’ life. Nothing wrong with telling the story of someone you know every now and then but this guy is like a wrestler in kayfabe. Off of the mic he stays in character and nobody finds that weird? Even in R&B you would write from experiences of others but often it comes back to oneself.

  25. BAWSE says:

@ Alex, listen to Murda Miami from Deeper Than Rap or basically the whole album, ross writes on his beats, most of his texts fit perfectly on the beat thats bangin. But 50… you know I like his music but only because of the beats, his rap is quite horrible but it’s gettin better though, as he’s leavin more and more the mainstream pop gay rap cause nigga basically sells like fat joe now.

  26. chitlin coon says:
