In all honesty, Guru is dead. However he lead his life was his business. If he didn’t feel the need to disclose it in life, than it’s no ones right to do so now that he’s dead. Respect the Man.

This entire saga has played out in the oddest of ways. And yes, I realize that’s an understatement.
He probably had aids, thats why this was rushed so no 1 would find out, and maybe Guru used

Guru seemed kinda ultra-masculine but he also stayed out of the spotlight, both contend that he meant to keep his sexuality/orientation or whatever u want to call it concealed while he was alive.
Just the possibility that A rap LEGEND feels he has to conceal part of his IDENTITY to his own hip-hop community because of pervasive homophobia and serious hate/ hate crimes. Doesn’t that make you a little sick?

Yeah, this shit is getting stranger by the hour… it’s sad to think that Guru may be remembered more for the strange events surrounding his death, rather than the great emcee that he was. Solar needs to quit dragging a dead man’s name through the mud, especially considering that his family said he never regained consciousness.

I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options.
I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody’s feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own.
I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. He knew guru from the early gangstarr days and said that guru had a relationship with an african cat who contracted aids.

Man.. Who did start this rumor that guru was gay? I have read all reports the same day the word was out that he was dead and I didnt see any talk about that they was together! The firtst time I heard it was yesterday when MTV did that interview with Solar.
I think all was a really smal rumor and now have turn out to the main topic. It’s sad..

From the outside looking in, Solar does seem shady and it looks like he is hiding something. However, there is a possibility that Guru might not wanted a funeral. Maybe he wanted to be cremated; which I don’t have a problem with. Also, if the attending physician feels comfortable in the cause of death then an autopsy is not necessary.

Shocking further developments are coming to light in the wake following the death of the Gangstarr legendary MC Guru.
Reports are coming into HSK that when Guru’s father, the Honorable Harry J. Elam, a former prominent lawyer from Boston and a retired Massachusetts superior court justice, called to recover the body from John “Solar” Mo’Sher, Solar said that he was taking the body upstate for a private memorial.
Judge Elam immediately made claim to the body and asked Solar to “return the body at once”, to which Solar replied that he would return the body if Elam Sr. called off the Elam nephew from continuing to make statements and videos about Solar. Claims which Solar continues to call false.
Judge Elam’s reply, “I don’t have time for these childish games, send my sons body home immediately.”
Following this exchange the police were sent and Guru’s body was recovered and is currently on its way back to Boston, to his family and to lay in honor as they see fit.
Not only should Solar return the body with-out delay, but Solar should return to the family all rights supposedly passed on to him from Guru on his deathbed. These should be held by the family in TRUST until KC is of legal age to handle himself.
This guy Solar, who HSK staff have personally met and traveled with is a NUT job. What is going on in his peas size brain is very troubling to say the least. Now that Guru is no longer around to protect him it might be time for dude to vanish on his own before someone does it for him.
