These kids are like the Public School version of Kirk Franklin & The Family. Queen Latifah and Common recently stopped by PS 22 in Staten Island and performed the song “Champion”. This past Monday they were also featured in the NY Daily News. Read all about it!

Good stuff. Love both of those artists. I love the kids’ reaction, you can tell it was very special to them. Those kids were very bright too…nice to see.

all I can see, despite the fact that some People are trying slowly to make the difference in social event, is that the Latino community is separated from the African-American community. ( just look the shirts they wearing – or is that a separation between the different levels of singing (???)) I don’t know.

@coryas: The kids are separated into altos and sopranos. There’s no racial segregation. In fact, this chorus is like a little UN.
