I won’t doubt the man again. The video changed my mind about the song in a second(my concern was why is a rapper singing). But I have to say that video was amazing(VIDEO of the YEAR type stuff) it had an awesome story, it followed the song, it had a MESSAGE- and he got killed at the end>>Find Your Love.
From now on Drake can do what ever the fuck he wants. I have no idea if this is good or bad for hiphop though, if it catches on it will change hiphop just like every young rapper coming out with dances for their songs(although Drake is on a much bigger scale). The guy can sing and rap legitimately, I can’t see the future but I think he is the making of something big(I think). That video blew my mind!! The guys album isn’t even OUT yet.
Only thing bad I can say about the guy is that I think his live performances suck.

I’ve been following him since that tape dropped too and I agree he sometimes drops a few line about smoking. Ransom comes to mind. But he is mos def not a smoker. He does it because he wants to appeal to everyone. He’s is similar to Fifty. If you recall “High all the time” of Get Rich or Die Trying. Fifty had a track for every type of consumer. But fifty is probably one of the most health conscious rapper there is. He only smokes cigars and that’s only for photoshoots. Ever seen video footage of him with a cigarette or a blunt? Don’t get it confused. Drake knows that the maximize his exposure he needs to appeal to everyone. Male and Female. Black and white.The streets and suburbs. He needs to be relatable to everyone. That’s just marketing.
He figures he has the streets because of his Wayne affiliation. He already dropped a few Blood lines on his mixtapes. Again ransom comes to mind and also take Me Down.. He tried to cater to women with “Best I Ever Had” but the video backfired. Now he has a second chance and with “Find Your Love” he tries to appeal to males (being a ladiesman, getting the hot chick) and to females (being a mysterious sensitive lover).
