Lil Kim has something called achievements. Only when you get those spliced in with longevity and consistency can you enter a “greatest of all time” discussion. Queen Latifah, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Trina, MC Lyte and a few others can join the discussion of greatest ever.
Right now, Nicki Minaj is a feature artist and that’s it. Zero songs of her own creation have been played on the radio (yes radio/TV matters). She has no album. She has no high profile performances. And she’s lucky female MC’s have been off in prison (Foxy,Lil Kim, Remy,Jacki-O) or just not doing shit at all (Shawnna, Lauryn Hill, Missy, Eve).
Nicki Minaj is good though…she has potential but plenty of people have potential. Can she do something worthwhile first? You don’t just come out and get the crown without any work put in…ask Lebron James.
