It was a reference and Drake even said he was listening to alot of Dead Prez when making the album now if you want to say Drake is biting then I could say that Dead Prez bit Bob Marley too. Drake took what Dead Prez said and changed the words up this kind of things ALOT of times in Rap music like when Termanology took one of Biggie’s line off of Victory and twisted it to go with one of his songs. It’s not biting it’s paying tribute my dude.

Don’t confuse what Dead Prez does with “being positive” for the sake of “being positive.” They rap about getting “free.” Sometimes people resort to acts that are not considered positive in the name of that. Them niggas done rapped about everything from robbing the pizza man when they hungry to credit card scams, to of course murdering a muthafucka.
