    Recovery is gunna sell huge.

    Slaughterhouse!

  2. this one with slaughterhouse is crazy…
    but it’s just the begin…
and that ridaz, shit, fuckin good flow…
he’s tottaly back on the game…
    feeling this shit

  3. P says:

FUCK Amalgam Digital for not let Joey on…SH song is dope but Ridaz is ehhh….the Dre beat is trash and it sounds like some shit that’d be on Encore…

  4. Mack Attack says:

    2010 -Gold 1st week = 2000-2005 – 1 milli plus

  5. amityvilleev says:

I like ridaz more. Session one – all of them have tight verses but I liked Eminem & Crooked most

  6. Caleb says:

SOOOOOOO Joell Ortiz went THE FUCK OFF!!! But there’s just something about Em that always stands out. He just flows really effortlessly. Anyway I currently got the song on repeat. 4 DOPE ASS lyricists on one track!!

  7. Caleb says:

@P I agree…Ridaz I was like….he’s puttin words together like CRAZY but I can probably do without. Gotta give it another listen to judge

  8. Thank Me Hater says:

FINALLY!!! May we have MANY more collabs like this in the future. Hopefully on a more serious note

  9. WOW says:

I don’t think people realize how well these four guys put syllables together. They ALL use that multi-syllabic rhyme scheme. You really have to write it down on paper to catch it all!

  10. Charles says:

Did Em just use a Bad News Bears reference?! “There’s no barin on the bad news I’m bearin yo” I just love that fucking movie! And Slaughterhouse are the BEST lyricist that have EVER rhymed with Shady…no question

  11. nate. says:

Nickle killed em on that one.

  12. nate. says:

take that back. everyone killed em.

  13. mokh says:

Ridaz: Love the dr. dre beat
Session one: well, it’s their first session and it got me so fuckin excited and expecting Great things… it could be the best collaboration in hip-hop’s histtory.. 5 fire spitters: Eminem, CRooked I, Royce da 5 9, joell, budden….
I feell like the shady/aftermath camp is preparin a new takeover!

  14. nushay says:

    damn em..hahahahaha
you can call me R.kelly now “you’re in” (urine)..trouble..hahahha

  15. Thank Me Hater says:

Even though I can do without Ridaz it shows why lyrically Shady is one of the most dominant. This cat is combining words that don’t even seem like they should rhyme…and he’s doing it in the middle of the verses and not just at the end

  16. bhikku says:

I so can’t wait to get to work to hear this shit. Gotta say, Em is making up for disappointing his fans in a big way. Sidebar: If only Nas came this correct immediately after It Was Written… It would have been dope if he would have realized he was disappointing his fans on his own with joints like Nastradamus, rather than Jay throwing it in his face. Experimentation is cool, but fans want to hear that raw spitting, you know? Shady gets it (finally).

  17. D-manded says:

    sick shitt

  18. Word!!! says:

Eminem Fans Is So Fuck In The Head……That He Can Rap About Any (Bullshit)……And His Fans Will Love The Way It (Smell)……

    These Song Won’t Last 5 Months………

    Kayne ” Power ” >>>> Relapse & Recovery

Eminem Should Of Retire…….He Messin Up His Career With This Bullshit…..

We Want Substance………..Not Just Rap Because You Know You Can Rap …….

I Want The Old Substance Eminem Back……..

  19. Markoni says:

Damn.. both song are straight shitttt… and I mean that in a good way.. Ridaz show s how impossible word Em can put together and make them rhyme and flow nice with the beat, while on Session he’s done good but I gotta say he hasn’t outshined anyone this time. Most of the time he just steals the song, but maybe he backed down a bit cuz SH is his new team so he wants them to get some shine too.

  20. Afrtermath Rules says:

RECOVERY #1 CHART ALBUM WORLD WIDE

  21. lamefucks says:

ITS SHADY MOTHA FUCKERS. 2010 BELONGS TO THIS DUDE. BUY RECOVERY NOW.

  22. Markoni says:

    @ Word

I want substance back too, but in this world when NOONE has substance Eminem is at least good at what he does, he still has rhymes and sick flow, most others barely have any of that..

  23. RapMusic23 says:

Both are great, fucking dope shit! Ems flow is so good.

  24. lamefucks says:

    @Word!!! “Kayne ” Power ” >>>> Relapse & Recovery”

Nigga wat you smokin, pass it to me son.

  25. Afrtermath Rules says:

EMINEM FT ROYCE = SHADY RECORDS RULES

    HATERS SUCKS RECOVERY #1

  26. OOPH says:

Hold on, so this Em ft. Slaughterhouse track is already crazy and it seems like Joe Budden had the last verse on it. I can not WAIT til the full version leaks. WOW!

  27. Mims says:

@Markoni you can’t really talk to Word but he’s right in a sense. I feel like this Recovery album does have substance. The only difference is he’s talking more about himself and HIS problems than what’s wrong with the rest of the world like he did on MMLP. He’s gettin really introspective on this one. And this is something he hasn’t done on past albums I feel.

  28. Word!!! says:

” Eminem spends nearly half of Recovery insisting he’s the best rapper alive, but for the first time in his career, he actually sounds clumsy.” – Pitchfork

He can’t even coexist meaningfully with a beat– every producer he works with seems to give him the most attenuated version of their signature sound possible and back away carefully. The liner notes will tell you that Recovery features production by Boi-1DA, Jim Jonsin, DJ Khalil, and Just Blaze along with the usual suspects Mr. Porter and Dre. But your ears will tell you it’s the same click track Em’s been rapping over since time immemorial– the only times the beats elbow to the fore are with DJ Khalil’s characteristically chunky and unwieldy rap-rock hybrids. Em just sort of drifts through these productions, as haunted and disembodied a presence as 2Pac on a posthumous release.

  29. nalgasinc says:

Em is nice on Ridaz but after hearing it I am SOOOOOOOO glad the entire album was not produced by Dre. Beat for Ridaz should have been saved for the new D12 album. Session one was tight…………cant wait to see if Slaughterhouse ends up on Shady. It would really change the game. This album is a classic!!

  30. rawsun says:

Session One> Recovery after Not Afraid (that doesn’t include W.T.P.)

  31. Wow. says:

    The beats were fire.
It’s hard to say, Em beat Royce, or vice versa, they both brought fire.

    @ word!!!

Every album gets bad reviews, Em’s been getting bad reviews, by Pitchfork, among others since his major label debut, nothin’ new. Fans still cop his shit.

  32. lamefucks says:

    You read Pitchfork reviews? lol

  33. rdizzle says:

Both tracks are hot…..I just wish em would came with a lil bit of a better verse on session one with slaughterhouse…..I’m assuming there’s a session two with burdens included on the track

  34. FUCK PITCHFORK says:

Pitchfork has never been credible. It always sounds like a 14 year old who doesn’t understand music is writing the reviews. It completely based on whether or not they like it, not whether or not it is genuinely good music. hahah, and they gave Gucci a 8.4, gtfo gave drakes new album an 8.4.

Bare in mind no real hip hop mag/site has reviewed recovery yet.

  35. Fat Boy says:

Go and Buy Recovery today in stores June 21

  36. Buxdagreat says:

tracks is fire… some ppl dont understand what these tracks suppose to be….. just spit fire tracks like ones off a mixtape.. dats why dey are bonus songs smh.. if ppl want eminem widd substance listen to the album cuz he damn sure gives u dat

lol at pitch fork reviews when have dey ever been credible n da hip hop community

  37. KANYE WEST says:

Yo Word!!!, I’m really happy for you, I’ma Let you finish, but Eminem has one of the best albums of all time! of all time!!!

  38. rawsun says:

Pitchfork really lowballed Em on that review. He deserved a 5.5-6 at least

  39. YOUAJOKE says:

DAMM! THAT SLAUGHTERHOUSE FEATURE WAS A SURPRISE BUT DOPE AS HELL

    SHADYHOUSE IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE

  40. Haru says:

Em is so lyrical on Session One, i think he’s equally on par with Slaughterhouse and vice versa.

“You can call me R. Kelley now You’re-in trouble!”
“What’s occuring before, after, and during the show
has no bearing on the bad news im bearing, woah”
“So suck my d*ck on the couch if you want to cushion the Blow”
“You should pull over like a sling shot with a hood”
“Break bread when im coppin over this game to pinch a loaf”

He also comments on Kanye’s crash
“Who claims to be spittin the same flames as me, I’m Kanye when he crashed
In other words I got the hood on smashed like i stepped on the gas
destroyed the front end deployed the damn airbags from the dash
went through them and laughed, came back an hour after the accident
and bit a god damn jaw breaker in half!”

Pretty much just a sick track in general. Wish Joey had a chance to spit on it tho.

  41. D-manded says:

lol ye fuck critics hes gettin some bad reviews his fans like it they gonna buy it simple some of them are just plain stupid one of them said something about 25 to life saying he should stop talking about kim……just proves half of them dont even listen

  42. I see dead people says:

    amazing

  43. Steviejay89 says:

@Word!!!!<—– Br0 Ur 100% right. Eminem is one of fav. rappers but I liked the fact he can prove he's one of the best rappers without saying "Im the best rapper" Recovery sounds like a well put together mixtape only because he dont have substance. Lupe did it right when he dropped "The Cool" he made songs and never said how dope he was, on his mixtapes he did the lyrical a.k.a. recovery type shyt. smh Em can spit he proved his point but his songs are garbage.

  44. red says:

realest hiphop beat of dre in yearssss…. next to that one from 50 cent Death to My Enemies….

  45. asdfg says:

You should pull over like a sweatshirt with a hood

  46. rdizzle says:

Who the fuck is pitchfork?? Lol

  47. teejay says:

I would definitely have preffered ridaz being on the album with a dre or 50 feature instead of so bad.

  48. Hollaatchaboy says:

Its funny how yall wait on other niggas to tell yall if something is good or not. Who gives a fuck about a critic.. what gives them the almighty power to decide if shit is good or shit is wack? “source magazine never made me not buy an album cuz they said it was wack” You gotta understand.. shit is all about the individual.. its like food.. there are different tastes. The problem with some of these reviews is that they are talking personally and not trying to view it through a general prism and speak to whether its content is good they are just saying they don’t like it.. hating on the white man.. kills these some of these writers that the best rapper alive is not black.. it would be like if Kobe was white.. imagine that shit.. they would rip his game apart even though clearly he is the best doing it and perhaps on his way to bein the best to ever do it. Em is your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper and you gonna listen to some web geeks reviews? Get yo mind right. Think for yourself.. some of yall bitches just hating to hate.. you know Em got a strong following here and you just try to say shit to get people mad.. you probably listening to Recovery nodding your head while you type this hater as shit.

And some of yall niggas got the nerve to talk about his content when dude is talking about himself and what he’s been through.. atleast he’s bein real about it. Yall favorite rapper still lying about selling drugs when the only drugs they probably moved is when they was stocking the tylenol shelves at CVC.

Dude is damned if he do damned if he don’t.. if he just murders a rhyme.. yall mad.. if he comes with real content you mad… I say shut the fuck up.. or pick up a mic and show us how its done since you know so much about the shit.

  49. RAY says:

    CROOKED I IS DAT NIGGA

  50. Afrtermath Rules says:

    pitchfork SUCKS

  51. Roy says:

    @Word

Pitchfork aren’t even realistically critical. They just give their opinion without giving examples of their claims. If you read pitchfork, you’re an idiot. Straight up.

    Keeping hatin.

  52. mmkayy says:

yo Em is officially killing iTunes worldwide…

    rawsun says:
Monday, June 21 2010 at 9:57 AM EST
Pitchfork really lowballed Em on that review. He deserved a 5.5-6 at least

^ Pitchfork also gave MMLP about the same rating sooooooo

  53. Word says:

    Pitchfork – Discredit them

Slant Magazine- Discredit them too, they gave MMLP a 1.5, and Relapse a 2.5 out of 5

So basically all the bad reviews you guys look at on Wikipedia doesnt mean much, do you like the album? Yeah? Then thats all that matters. If you hate the album, well thats all that matters…you dont need to try and search for bad reviews by no name websites to help justify why you think its bad.

The two bonus tracks, dope. No substance on the album? 25 to life? Talkin to myself? Going thru Changes? You’re never over? They all have a message in them, amongst others I dont feel like naming…dont talk substance cuz Ems got plenty of it. I could understand if you took shots at the production, or the hooks or something, but not the substance. There are songs where he just raps for the sake of rapping, but not all his old stuff had substance in every track either.

Kill You anyone? Criminal? Bitch Please II? No substance but still dope ass tracks.

  54. ts5000 says:

i would buy the deluxe edition of the album just 4 the bonus tracks
recovery is gonna be the best album of the year

  55. whoooo says:

ive never heard of “pitch fork” who cares what the fuck they say. they prolly said big / pac was wack too. wait they def aint been around that long …. em album is dope, all u “hip hop” fans want ill lyrics n crazy beats … heres ur album. ENJOY

    btw bonus tracks:
    Ridaz – dope, classic em
Session 1 – EM > JOELL > ROYCE > CROOKED I … all dope tho no hating. wheres buddens? fuck the labels for not lettin em finish that slaughterhouse / shady sign go down yet!

  56. Dolphan9954 says:

Slaughterhouse should learn from everyone else that’s signed with shady/aftermath. Your album ain’t coming out!!! Stat quo? Nope. Bishop Lamont? Nope. Oh yeah Joel ortiz already was with aftermath and got dropped. Obie trice had to leave and go indie cuz his boy em wouldn’t help him anymore. The only CDs that come out on shady/aftermath are dre 50 and em. Interscope don’t care bout nobody else

  57. PITCHFORK CAN SUCK IT says:

this album is the best shit out this year i bought 5 copies….

    P.S.: FUCK PITCHFORK

  58. Word says:

And that nigga Joe Budden too busy fucking Esther Baxter to record some tracks….I dont blame him though

  59. JERZZZ says:

These faggots over at Amalgam need to stop fucking around with Joey and let Slaughterhouse sign to Shady finally. Dope tracks, But Session 1 Needs the Budden verse.

  60. @Steviejay89 says:

he loves drake, he sits in his room listening to his R&B album pretending he can also sing.
Sometimes he also talks to girls while listening to drake and alicia keys in the background. Lol
U must not know what substance is or where and how to applied it cz recovery in full of substance

  61. TheBoyBlaze says:

@Steviejay89 No substance- you must not have heard 25 to life, your not over, love the way you lie, and etc…you obviously don’t know what substance is…and to say his songs are garbage lets me know you have no idea what your talking about..

  62. Yo Mama's Cookies says:

    This album is FIRE, son!

@word, quit hatin’ on Em, he’s a big boy rapper in the same league as Jay-Z, Kanye, and Weezy. We all know you love Kanye’s Power over anything by Eminem, but leave it at that, it’s just your opinion. I respect it, but why all the flamin’?

and some of you other Eminem fans, quit being mindless with your arguments; it’s some of you ‘extreme stans’ that make people hate Eminem even more because of how ignorant ya’ll sound. Respect hip hop, in all forms, regardless of the artist.

  63. dAMN says:

    @Hollaatchaboy

You idiots just got ethered by this dude and you didn’t even know it.

    SUCK A DICK HATERS.

  64. MU says:

Fuck your mamma cookies fuck you fuck wayne fuck kany fuck drake all are faggots
fucked in the ass city boys

  65. dawg says:

actually yall are somewhat wrong about pitchfork….

they really do know what they are talking about, even when it comes to hip hop. i agree em is better than pretty much any other rapper out there, and i think he got fucked in their review of recovery….BUT they are mainly considering the context in which his album is in (hip hop today, his age, what he has already proven to do in past albums, etc.)

and they dont always hate on em: they did not review MMLP but in later ones they said it deserves a 10.0 … also they reviewed ES and gave it a 9.1 (in the review the guy says it deserved a 10.0 as well…)…

but i get it, they dont really give a lot of specific examples and mainly just go on the overall effect of the album.. sometimes their reviews seem very biased… and they do mainly review indie/alternative obscure music so they dont have a lot of respect in the hip hop community….

BUT they dont just purely hate on em, in fact i think he just set the bar really high for himself…

  66. MU says:

    Sick album
iinteresting how he put the first track from R2, then in talking to myself started killing right and left

  67. M.U says:

had the album in my computer for almost 2 weeks , i wanted to practice my will power
didnt listen to anything except pink rihanna and not afraid 2 times each

  68. mmkayy says:

@dawg that TES review was the most stupidest shit i evaa read ..like a 5yr old wrote it

  69. cam says:

where is budden at on this track?

  70. shane says:

i just miss the old eminem. i feel like hes trying too hard. I want the Eminem show shady back. its cool to switch up your flow but for the whole god damn cd? smh . and this is coming from a huge fan. im just not gonna bang it if it aint good unlike most of his fans

  71. Thank Me Hater says:

LOL Pitchfork gave Recovery a 2.8….this is the same website that gave Encore a 6.5. Recovery may not be his best…but it’s a helluva lot better than Encore. Also what kind of rating scale do you have when you can rate an album 3.3 or 3.8?!?! What components of the album are you looking at?!?!

  72. PITCHFORK CAN SUCK IT says:

@rdizzle pitchfork is a critic website that gave recovery a shit review

  73. shane says:

i dont agree that it was 2.8 but rather a 6.5… i just miss the em on the first 3 albums

  74. fourdeucetre says:

Im very upset joey didnt make it on this

  75. ohtentakeover says:

    cool tracks , where’s joey?

  76. ohtentakeover says:

    ^ I agree fourceuctre

    http://1hiphop.wordpress.com/

    whats the reason? anyone know?

  77. Sikhh says:

    on Session 1

    Crooked > Em> Joell = Royce

  78. iFeelLikeHatin says:

    Fuck Slaughterhouse expect Joell Ortiz.

    Fuck Recovery Haters.

Fuck Niggas who hate on the new Eminem.

  79. NotoriousRambo says:

FUCK AMALGAM SLAUGHTERHOUSE ISN’T THE SAME WITHOUT ALL 4 MEMBERS

  80. Zombie says:

Joe Budden didnt make it in the song cause the label didnt let him get on it. something like that.

  81. rawsun says:

@MMMkay, truth be told I think Pitchfork sucks at reviewing hip hop. Critics like them hated on Straight Outta Compton back in the day and have talked shit on a lot of hip hop albums considered classic.

On the other hand Recovery ain’t as dope as i thought it would be, but if reviews really mattered it definitely is better than a 2.8. Either way anyone that matters won’t be effected by this. The people who jock Em will call it classic. The people who hate Em will say it sucks. And the people like me who just listen without a strong sense of attachment will judge it for what it is.

  82. Justin says:

this is the eminem i expected throughout the whole album on recovery.. too bad… cuz these are the only songs in my mind that are greatly produced and where eminem is SLIM SHADY…. not this drug free faggot eminem.. who cant flow with the beat…

  83. money mitch says:

    @bhikku

are you crazy it was written is one of the illest hip hop cds ever

i am, nastrodamus, those ehhhh lol not so much but

    live nigga rap
    i gave you power
    affirmative action

all of those are fuckin classic

Fuck eminem i dont listen to rap to hear fart jokes and shit

  84. UK_Rapper says:

O M G… I’ve been waiting for this song ever since I heard about the possible Shady Records signing, being a huge fan of Em and Slaughterhouse.. Production by Just Blaze is OVERKILL!!! 107. Lyricist says:

Yo I just realized something Royce said.
“Before I need to be hired Jimmy I-O (Jimmy Iovine of Interscope Records) FIRE Marshall.
I guess Slim really is leaving Interscope and making Shady Records independent so he can sign Slaughterhouse and revive his record label. Wonder where that leaves Fiddy and Dre?
