Breaks: RIP Harvey Fuqua

News
Music took a loss today with the passing of singer/record producer Harvey Fuqua at the age of 80. A member of 50’s Doo-Wop group, The Moonglows (Rock and Roll Half Of Fame induction up top), he also served as an early mentor to Marvin Gaye. Mr. Fuqua’s legacy is wide reaching but lost in the mainstream coverage so far, is that he conceived one of my favorite bands, New Birth. For that alone, he’s the muthafuckin’ man. Fellas and ladies, raise your hands if you know this classic he produced. Yup, I thought you did.
RIP…WE’RE SLOWLY BUT SURELY LOSING OUR MUSIC ICONS š
