The fact that people don’t know who Phonte is really is sad. Seems as if a majority of the comments on here are like “Who is Phonte?” This just goes to show the state of hip-hop and the fans who listen to the music. Most people are just casual fans and listen to all the mainstream rap artists. B/c any hip-hop head knows that Phonte is one half of one of the greatest hip-hop duo’s ever. I think hip-hop is kind of split right now. In a way it’s kind of a good thing. The genre started out underground and now for those who really love it.. it’s kind of gone back to that. Anyway, Drake is a puppet and the best of the worst rappers. He’s like a conscious rapper for those who embrace the current culture of ignorance in our community. He’s not even top 25 IMO.
