Oh Charles. Mr. Hamilton revealed in an interview with Bossip that’s he checked himself into a NY mental hospital. Apparently, the beat music made him do it.
Charles Hamilton: Basically my stay here[NY Presbyterian Mental Hospital] is like identical to my stay in the industry. As far as being the new guy in here having to deal with politics & people trying to control you. The critics would have to be the doctors and the rounds [medicine guys]. So you can say this is like an experiment to see if the industry is really like an asylum or if I was the one bugging. Some say the Industry is like High School but it’s just like a [mental hospital].
What the fuck is wrong with this nigga??? Get some help and do something with yourself. I don’t think hip hop is going to work for you cuz.

This dude’s had a series of problems(homeless, drug problems, mental problems) for awhile that have covered up and distracted a tremendous amount of talent. But if you go back in history, a lot of the greats had serious problems too.Hopefully, this mental hospital helps him get his head on straight so we can hear some dope music from him soon.

I know this dude has issues, and yes he is pretty talented, but the stuff he does sometimes just seems like he does it for attention. He’s taken alot of L’s, most were self imposed, but I don’t think this dude is crazy at all.
i want to express something positive, but to be honest, my real thought is this is lame to be issuing public statements abt. i don’t know the context, so i’m gonna say that he was asked abt it and just responded, rather than tweeted or some shit abt being in a mental hospital.
’cause my real thought is i have actual friends who were in the psych wing of the hospital for weeks and stuff because they were bipolar and thought they were like the messiah sent from God. it ain’t some funny shit or something you go announcing for publicity. it’s horrible. if you were really that messed up you wouldn’t be making press conferences and shit. idk it feels like some stunt.
but to be postiive, i’ll end with if you got problems like that, Charles, you’ve made the healthy decision and I hope you get the help you need. it’s not that big a deal and it don’t make you weak; so good luck u can get better.

I’ll just say it. Ever since dude got dropped from Interscope he’s been putting out music that suggests suicide. “Wrist Music” has dude sayin he understands Columbine and that he “Columbined the rap game.” (wtf?) There was another song where he claims he’s a Martyr to hip hop both suggesting dude might be planning something. I know he talks about suicide in his older stuff, but I dunno… maybe I’m just over analyzing his music.
