  5. SilkCityP says:

Why is he taking a GoGo band to NY?? Nobody outside of DC, MD & VA like GoGo… that shit is horrible… I’m glad I don’t live there anymore… I hated hearing that garbage

  6. TDRO says:

THIS NEEDS TO BE VIDEO’D for DVD

  7. Sean P says:

  8. alonzo says:

This guy rubs me the wrong way..I dont know why..

  9. YEA_I_SAID_IT says:

that title best describes this show in so many ways…

  10. kidpotential says:

@SilkCityP you must not go to too many Wale shows….he always comes with a band and UCB, is not some regular go-go band…those brothers are musicians the whole way through…and FYI…everyone knows about go-go…Chuck Brown=legend, EU=Legends, Big G=King of DC. Some of your favorite songs sampled by go-go records…I’m sorry that while you were in DC you couldn’t “feel” the music. But dont worry I’m sure one day Jay-Z or another big name artist will sample a go-go song, and you can claim to have been down the whole time….

  14. Burr says:

the Highline is pretty big, I remember Wale having a show there in 08 with CuDi…don’t see him packing the venue tho if it’s just him…SOBs would have been a better choice.

  15. kidpotential says:

If you dont see Wale packing Highline…you’re playing yourself. the last time he was at highline…DJ Enuff, Ryan Leslie, Jay-Z, Leo DiCaprio, AND MORE ALL SHOWED UP ….this guy brings em out…stop hating and let the nigga be great….the more you hate…the more you’re missing out on “the momement’ <— c'mon son!!! I know you're smarter than that dog..

  16. SilkCityP says:

    @ kidpotential

Nah son… I like what I like… I don’t ride coat tails or fads/trends… I lived in PG for almost 5 years… and its not my thing b! I don’t knock cats who like it or cats who are from DMV… if that’s ure thing, that’s ure thing… But I will say this, on a mainstream level outside of DMV the majority of people don’t know about GoGo, and most people from outside of that area don’t like it! I remember the 1st time I got exposed to it… 1996, my homeboy had his cousin visit from DC, he came to NJ… We were bumping the brand new Mobb Deep-Hell On Earth, had just been released. This dude turns off the boom box and pops in a RE tape, niggas thought he lost his mind… His cousin threw the tape in the trash, and told him to never play that shit in his presence again… And FTR… I’ve never known a person from NJ, NYC, CT that has heard GoGo and feels it… It’s a DC thing b!

  17. Pl says:

@silkcityp u do realize gogo already been sampled in the mainstream, right? Ever heard of a girl called beyoncĂ©? And she ain’t the only one…

  18. kidpotential says:

i cant hate on mac Diesel..dude reminds me of ANGRY MAN on MARTIN…i love him..he just says the most ignorant shit ever…he’s so FTW for RR…..mac diesel FTW!!!!!…..

    give THAT nigga a job…haha!…PS…keep it igna-ent!!!!

  19. Nina says:

When did people start liking Wale? I don’t recall all this love this time last year. Fake ass industry lol. He’s from the hometown, so I wish the kid the best. I’m from DC and I can’t rock with Go-Go lol.

Highline isn’t a big venue lol. If Janelle Monae and countless indie bands can fill it, Wale can too.

  20. mac diesel says:

kid potential u and your father/baby daddy wack le have no potential!

  21. mac DIESEL says:

mac DIESEL WANNA THANK ALL THE IMPERSONATORS/STANS/GROUPIES/HATERS FOR KEEPIN’ THE mac DIESEL NAME ALIVE WHILE ON MY VACATION!!!! THANKS BITCHES!!!! HA!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!

  22. Mattias says:

    mac diesel: Agree, you are

[…] RapRadar.com & Highline Ballroom conjoin to bring you ‘A Show About Nothing’. @Wale will perform cuts from his mixtape ‘More About Nothing’ and hopefully joints from Attention Deficit. ‘The Mixtape About Nothing’ was a huge success for Wale/Interscope/10 Deep so I assume they are looking to build on that success. The album sales aren’t turning that red into black but selling Wale himself as a product seems to be working. […]
