Gotta learn to live with regrets, right? Drizzy shares his thoughts with 1515 on the premature leaks from his debut and what he would of done if they had not found their way on to the Internet.

“The saddest part to me is that I would have made ‘9 AM in Dallas’ the intro for the album, but I did it the day of mastering, which is crazy, so it couldn’t make the album. That’s probably my greatest upset, was the fact that it couldn’t be on the physical disc and be a part of that album. ‘Darlin’ ‘ was a loss just because it was never mixed, and every time I hear it in the club, you can never really hear the words. I think the words are the best part of that song. I think Wayne painted such a vivid picture. I tried to come in and add my little two cents at the end.

“Most of the music made it. Most of the music we held for a long time, and the stuff that did leak, it was pretty good references. It wasn’t anything I was too upset about. ‘Shut It Down’ leaking early was painful. I think it could have been a bigger record had it not been out there so long. And ‘Fall for Your Type’ I wish was on there, but I have other plans for that record, so it’s gonna be good.”

  7. A Chick says:

I agree about “shut it down.” It was presented all crazzylike and it’s a dope record. Kinda reminds me of Fancy.

  8. Willie Hutch says:

    I agree with Mac Diesel

  9. A Chick says:

Oh and yeah ’9 AM in Dallas’ woulda been a niiice intro!

  10. Terry says:

It’s really sad that the people that suffer from leaked music are mainly black artist, I never hear of Taylor Swift or Madonna dealing with multiple leaks on their records. I personally feel that it’s an attack on black muscians.

  11. WhatsUpSon says:

I’d prefer 9AM In Dallas near the end of the album, right before Thank Me Now.

I just wish he’d stop all that singing or make a separate album for it.

  12. Donn says:

Its all good. The album was great and for all the fans and ppl who know every word to his songs we support Drizzy no matter wat. And Shut It Down is my shit. Dude gonna have a bright future. Him and Eminem held it down for HipHop this summer

  14. Can says:

    dear mac DIESEL,

Drake can do whatever the fuck he wants.

  15. UltraKid says:

Over, Show Me a Good Time, Shut it Down, Fancy and Find Your Love were my favorites…I felt that the album was flawed due to the use of recycled flows and same subject matter as So Far Gone….Drake obviously needed more time to grow as an artist/rapper but because the media and the masses overhyping him so much he probably felt the pressure to release an album as soon as possible.

  16. Dozez says:

fall for your type was my shit for a looooooooooooooong time

  17. Nas says:

i play the album all the way through with 9AM in Dallas at the end. I feel it should have been the Outro. There’s no way you couldn’t have that on the album

  18. Thank Me Hater says:

I wanna see this guy succeed no even though my name indicates otherwise. I just wasn’t feelin the album. He’s got talent but he’s not dope enough for all the hype.

  19. Teddy says:

tsk tsk dont leave things to last minute

  20. random says:

@Mac Diesel fuck them niggas that opinion was perfect lol. imo tml isnt classified as a hip hop album cuz 85% of it was singing and hes making a R&B mixtape but I aint fucking with that he a good RAPPER not singer. Get back to rap you T-painin too much – Jay-z

  21. Ac@pella! says:

Fall For Your Type was dope and SHOULDA made the album and why DIDN’T My Darling get mixed? That shit was dope. Not album dope, but jus dope…in my opinion, So Far Gone was his debut and this was SFG2. Lol. Still a dope album tho. My girl likes it. Lol.

  22. mac DIESEL says:

    @ Teddy

YO, GOOD OBSERVATION!!!! HIP-HOP ARTISTS ALWAYS GETTIN’ THEIR SHIT LEAKED!!!! U KNOW WUT IT IS??? TOO MANY HIP-HOP ARTISTS BE HAVIN’ THEIR ENTOURAGE IN THE STUDIO!!!! THESE PRODUCERS THEY BE HIRIN’ BE HAVIN’ THEIR ENTOURAGE IN THE STUDIO!!!! IT NEEDS TO BE THE ARTIST, THE ACTUAL PRODUCER, AND SOME ENGINEERS!!!!! THAT’S IT!!!! THE STUDIO AIN’T A HANG OUT SPOT!!!!!!

    DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!!

  23. the only song i could do w/o is fancy if the whole track was done by 40 and swizz was no where on it, then we can talk. fall for your type is amazing and should of been on there but its suppoed to be on jammie foxx album…9am would of been a dope intro and replace fancy with paris morton music.

  33. IM Me says:

Drake is a hip hop & r&b artist in one, y does that bother u so much?

  34. ya its not boom bap hiphop but its its own kind of hiphop just like outkast been doing for yrs..im realy suprised at the amount of hate dude generates hes not trying to be something he isnt he doesnt rap out of his element, and ppl still bitching about sing or rap pick one lol did you not listen to so far gone? people loved him for that now a yr later you hate him when hes doing the same shit. hes not hov or em but hes not soulja boy so why hate dude so much?….hiphoppers are funny style haha

  35. AK YO ASS FAGGOT says:

shut up drake we saw how much work u was puttin in the album typin lyrics n shit on your blackberry then mastering it the next and the last day. get the fuck out here

  36. Truest says:

SMH i swear this dude is cheesy as hell.

  37. Jazmine says:

I’m with Terry, I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist myself but I do wonder why mainly hip hop & r&B artist deal with leaks from their album. Other genre of music get it too but it’s not nearly as bad and it doesn’t affect them nearly as much. I think it’s when all these hip hop artist started distributing their music for theirselves and not needing the major labels to take most of their money and royalties away just to put an album is all of a sudden when alot of the leaks started. I also agree with the other person that said yes their so called entourages play a huge part in it as well. I don’t care how good a hacker is they can’t possibly steal all of that music, someone inside of the artist camps is leaking their music.

  38. Megan says:

I’m really trying to understand why so many brothas hate Drake. Like seriously, okay he’s not the best rapper but he for damn sure isn’t the worst. When I come to these threads on here and nahright or allhiphop.com, brotha’s just act as if they have a personal vendetive against Drake.

  39. Cityboi says:

    DEAD @ “calling it Hip-Hop 2” Hahahahaha

  40. ms.drizzy says:

20 people are dumb fuckin haters point blank

  41. Jasmine says:
