Aside from the release date, Nas has been mum as to the details of Lost Tapes 2. But this afternoon, Pete Rock revealed that he and Nas have reunited on the project. The world is yours ours!

Funny, I saw Pete at the elite 11 event in NYC this weekend, and I asked when would he be working with Nas again. And he said, he hasnt spoken to Nas since last year Rock the Bells. So Im not to sure how new this is.

I never had seen any other artist who is CRUCIFIED for working with other producers as much as Nas has been in his 18 years of hip hop; it’s like his beats is the only attempt the haters have at hating him because they fear his lyrical genius. Streets Disciple is actually one of my favorite Nas albums. The album flowed cohesively and had tons of bangers on it.
@chex .. I think were jus gonna have to agree to disagree.. Although Street disicple had some bangers(like all nas albums do even the bad ones), i dont think it was cohesive at all it was all over the place, a double album with tons of filler.. I know some of the production sucked cus they couldnt clear a few samples..

Nas did an interview with the Source many years ago when he said he tried to work with Pete again and he said Pete would give him the run around. He said Pete would say “when i get that true banger then I’ll get in contact with you.” Then he wouldn’t hear from him.

Pete Rock is the most underated hip hop producer of all time. Wish he’d hook up with a good hip hop promotion company to really help start spreading the word on his music.
