Kanye So Appalled At Los Angeles Times
Kanye gave the L.A. Times a piece of his mind last night. Apparently, he was upset that writer, Chris Lee incorrectly called his album, My Dark Twisted Fantasy. In turn, Kanye let his fingers do the talking and vented on his Twitter account. Shortly after, he deleted the tweets. Maybe Chris’ apology had something to do with it. In any event, Sean did a screen grab of the rant, so here it is below.
I would’ve taking offense 2 the LA Times review of the movie but the extremely condescending writer accidentally complimented my suit! Thx. I believe the writers name was Kriss Lee who so bent on giving a soulless description of my work that he decided to call the album…not even by the write name…ironically but I feel more strategically removing the word ‘Beautiful’ from the title! Woooooooooow! I assumed a respected media source lie the Los Angeles Time would send a write that would at least have the respect to call the album…by it’s proper title. It’s called “MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY” Kriss…Even if your goal was to perpetuate non-positive…thought association. You see what happens when you write with a negative agenda. You have the entire Los Angeles Time’s coming off…like a non credible news source that can’t even fact check a well publicized album title. How can anyone believe anything you ever write again? I feel sorry for the LA Times more than anything for missing the opportunity…

@ryan, he wasn’t going in about a misspelling. It was about an album title. And there’s a difference between misspellings in a tweet and incorrect information in a published newspaper. He’s justified in asking them to make the correction and in saying that if they got that mistake wrong that it hurts the credibility of their review. But really he’s only really upset because the reviewer had some negative things to say about him.
That said…Kanye needs to stop this stuff. He keeps talking about how he learned from the Taylor Swift incident that his attitude/antics detract from his music and “his genius.” And he also talked about how it made him upset that his fans and family have to constantly defend him. Well, then stop coming across like a spoiled, pompous asshole. Just make great music, take the criticism and shut up. There’s nothing cool about being a whiner.
I’m a fan and I am getting tired of having to explain “Yeah, he’s a pompou , spoiled asshole but he makes great music.” At a certain point that persona becomes all everyone sees/hears and his art becomes irrelevant. He’s not there yet but he’s getting there.
I don’t even see why it makes a difference if they said it wrong his fans know what the name of his album is so its not like if they fuck up the title that he’s gonna sell less. But what the hell is up with all these cap happy mother fuckers on here.

1. Kanye’s misspelling of his name was on purpose.
2. Missing an entire word – especially ‘BEAUTIFUL’ – from a title such as that is actually pretty amazing, if you understand how articles are written. The writer TOTALLY changed the perception of the album (if your third eye is open enough to ‘get it’.)
3. Yes, Kanye is a drama queen. All he need to do was ask for an apology, with prejudice, and a re-up.
