Definitely dope, but not the first to drop positive lyrics this year… Em and Budden both dropped hot albums with more uplifting music than usual. I guess the only difference is Lupe been doing that since he debuted. This has been a great year for hip hop, looking forward to Banks/Kanye and others dropping fourth quarter.

Give the kid a chance to make a single, the way i see the more people that listen to lupe the better, this song is not even that bad his lyrics are still solid, maybe he did have to make a compromise and make a radio friendly single. We all know lupe could make a 100 singles he could be on top of all the charts if he chose too. He even talks about how they tried to chain him down, but he throws his feet on their desks, lupe is still real as he has ever been even if it is through a mainstream single. FNF UP!

Anyone here getting sick of the closet blogging hip hop haters? Take this dude “Slim” a few posts up calling the people who think the track sounds good (which I agree, it’s a great track) “stans”. So you have a different opinion and that means everyone is a stan?
Why is everything always so black and white in hip hop? People say either “OMFG G.O.A.T. CLASSIC” or “label forced garbage”. It’s like fans of hip hop are unable to show any reasonable amount of intellect when listening to music.
This is a good track, I don’t honestly see how you can hate on this regardless of your taste. It’s positive, the beat is well done, and the lyrics are on point. Seriously, what gives?
