New Music: Dirty Money “Coming Home”

The reference track from Jermaine dropped last night and here is how it sounds with Diddy and his leading ladies. Sorry Mr. Combs but, we’re gonna have to go with J.Cole’s version on this one. Last Train To Paris pulls off Dec. 14.

Memo to Puff Daddy/Diddy/ P. Diddy et al:

When a talented emcee (re: J. Cole) gives you a reference track, you should, in all likelihood…reference it. Who wrote the crap that we just heard you spit, I am not sure of, but you just royally F’d up a potential hit.

For the sake of the Hip-Hop community as a whole, please do not let this track make Last Train, let J. Cole take that, take that and do some ad libs on his version. I’m still a fan dude, but what were you thinking???

    Thanks.

  21. supppppppp says:

Honestly, Cole isn’t a good ghostwriter. He didn’t spoon feed the record to Puff like he should have. Take a look how Eminem ghost writes for Dre, he raps slower, he changes his style/swag,etc…
Only dope line he had for puff was the Andre Harrell line about firing him..

  22. Life After Death says:

    Hmmmmmmm………

  23. Black Shady says:

LOL @ Diddy not keepin Cole’s verses. hahaha fail

Cole shoulda kept this track. his version is 100X better. Imma keep the J.Cole version in my iPod. believe that haha

  24. ESCO says:

    @suppppppp

i agree, however it’s hard to predict how to write for someone like diddy.

i mean we’re not even writers, and i’m tryin to think how to write for him, and i’m struggling. whereas with dre you know his style and approach.

lets me honest too, dre is a good rapper in that his voice is good and he usually has good flow and can implement himself on the track.

diddy just sounds like he’s talkin on tracks.

btw. really good beat, it’s that english kid that eminem has used a few times.

  25. ESCO says:

god damn this beat and the hook is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

can y’all imagine someone like nas, lupe or eminem on this….this song was MADE FOR THEM!!!

damn, any rapper with substance would kill for this kind of song…and it landed on…..DIDDY…smh

Memo to rappers – Get Alex Da Kidd on your next LP!! He said on his twitter a while back he workin with 50 and Em probably let 50 know about him.

  26. rocstar says:

this is pretty hot. say what u want about puff but he been around for years and still doin his thing.

  27. JDot says:

Fail, should have went with the Cole world, version..

  28. JDot says:

    Still cool record..

  29. joel says:

hey what happened to that mc hammer diss to jay z today?

  30. Android says:

    They added a bawse.ha!

‘Put your hands to the consellation, your now rockin wit a bawse and your my sensation(whaaaaaaaaaa???)

  31. Qwerty says:

    J. Cole should’ve kept it…

  32. NVR says:

People on here really do not understand what a reference track is. “J. Cole should’ve kept it to himself etc.”, it was never his and could never be, Diddy has the rights to it and only wanted someone to record a demo over it. Even if J. Cole would’ve wanted to keep it, he couldn’t.

    Diddy’s version: 3/10
    Cole’s version: 9/10

  33. Shzntt says:

Still a good look for J. Cole he up this shit.

  34. Brooklyn says:

i think diddys version is better

  35. B says:

Is there anyway to get the mastered beat with J. Cole’s vocals?

  36. yesssir says:

everyone is talking like J.Cole should have kept it.
you think J.Cole owned this song?? fuck no.

Diddy had this beat, this hook, and then connected with J.Cole to write the verses for him.
J.Cole probably couldn’t have kept it if he wanted to.

    smartin’ up.

  37. Wow says:

    Why people hate so much???
