Over the top, yeah. But at the same time, no one else is doing it. So for her to make that her lane, is kind of dope in itself. I do hate the voices sometimes, but I’m going to hold off on callin her a gimmick rapper at the moment because she actually does have bars…

@Truth, Honestly even if the industry tried to push someone that was a blantant copy of the Nicki Minaj brand, would anyone really jump on that?? With all that she has done to make herself standout (whether good or bad) she has OWNED it. I respect her movement because she found something that made her stand out and people keep talking about her. You hate the faces or the voices but Luda, Busta, Wayne, DMX, etc have made full CAREERS outta the same thing. To label her as a gimmick belittles the fact that shes talented as hell! Shes lyrical and she can sing. And shes made herself a presence in this industry. Everyone expected her to be pretty and sexxy and hard like the come up dvds, but she found a lane to take her further than just some female rapper. Gotta respect her hustle.

I’m confused. How can she crush the competition when she’s the only female in the game right now? Maybe they mean crushing the competition period. But that doesn’t make sense because I can think of other people that are a lot better.
