There’s more to being a classic then just dope lyrics and beats, it’s relevancy, making an impact, changing the landscape of music. Kanye did all that with this album, he went against all the trends in rap music today, making songs almost 10 minutes, throwing 100 niggas on a track and making it work, making posse cuts dope again, not going for obvious radio friendly bullshit and putting passion into it.
The only reason niggas play it is because it’s Kanye and he carved his own lane, don’t tell me fucking Power or Monster is a pop single, they saying all kinds of shit in there lol. It’s pop cause it’s popular, not because it’s microwave music!

I listened to the album once in my truck when it leaked, and it didn’t really affect me. I didn’t know what the big deal was. Just went back to it a couple days ago, and I found out that it’s amazing. It’s an enriching experience listening to it lol You can tell he was going for somthing epic, and IMO he acomplished it. 5 Mic worthy to me

Don’t get me wrong I’m a Kanye Fan and the new cd is tight but I would say 4 1/2 Mics at the most sorry. Mr West left out a few songs that I feel would of made the cd a Classic. Just to name a few “Chain Heavy”, “Mama Boyfriend”, “Christian Dior Denim Flow”, “The Joy”, “Welcome to the World” or the “Power Remix” could of been on the cd. Either way dope album I can’t stop playing it but my favorite Kanye album ever is still gonna be “College Dropout”. Maybe it’s because he was more on a positive vibe back then and he stood for something. As for the Source you guys used to be the sh*t but I lost respect once I found out Emcee’s could pay for their ratings/Mics. ^^^^This observation is so fucking on the money, and I hadn’t been able to put into words what I thought was wrong! Graduation’s lyrical content was clever, calculated, and timely (50 told me gon’ head switch the style up), but this shit, besides the production, seems un-aimed and pieced together. And really there’s know true theme that’s worth buying into. He loses when talks about fashion and gratuitous encounters with females (to the point where it seems like he trying to seem more masculine than he really is)! With Drake on his heels, and even Jay (-Z) doubling down on his position as the king of hip hop past and present, Ye need to continued to be calculated, humble, and strong like he was when he was playing the underdog!
