Lil B is not a great emcee by any stretch, but he is better than his music lets on. He is also quite intelligent. And even you hate on him on those fronts, you have to acknowledge that he is a PR and marketing genius.
Based music IS an excuse for bad freestyling, but it has also been a phenomenon from the cooking to the “hoes on my dick cuz” lines. AND I would argue that his latest mixtape doesn’t even contain any based music. It’s not great, but it shows a diversity of content yall aren’t giving him credit for. I am not a fan, but I respect the fuck out of him nonetheless because he has a fanbase with more zeal than anyone else. In an age where rap fans are damn near too cool to clap, Lil B has muhfuckas at shows in chef hats with spatulas asking him to fuck their bitches and moms. People who dont even know who Lil B is are doing the cooking dance. I think half of his fans are sarcastic supporters, and yet they still show love.
