John, you’re an idiot. I’ve been listening to and following Lupe rabidly since about 2 months before F&L dropped. The only thing i’m mad at is the record company, would you rather him not have compromised and us have no new music from him? Yes he compromised and made a more commercial record but he did it so that his career can move forward and he can produce the type of music he wants in the future. Oh, and the freestyles are ill even if these are pre-written unlike the H.A.M freestyle from westwoods show a couple days ago

Its obviously the same idiot saying Lupe sold out under different names. Any real Lupe fan knows exactly what position hes in- Atlantic was allowed to pick some of the production on his album, as long as Lupe was allowed to retain lyrical control and album direction, and then he threw it back in their face with “Words I Never Said”. Essentially, Atlantic tried to force his stuff onto the radio and he responded by making it into a song that would never in a million years get a lot of spins. Hes winding this Atlantic contract down, and still putting together a hell of an album. Am I more excited for after Atlantic, when Lupe has full creative control again? Hell yea. Is he selling out? HELL no, not even close.

Oh and I think the “Monster” and “Fire Flame” are pre-written. “Girls” was already one of his remixes; I’ve seen him perform it before. The freestyle for “H.A.M.” was a true freestyle in my opinion, his pauses in that one indicate that he was thinking before saying. Either way, Lupe Fiasco is better than your favorite rapper! Unless, your favorite rapper is Lupe Fiasco, because in that case, it’s a tie. haha
