Tru Life Sentenced To 8 Years In Prison

Adios to mañana. Tru Life plead guilty to manslaughter today and was sentenced to eight years in prison for the 2009 stabbing death of Christopher Guerrero. A week ago, he was offered 10 years for the crime. He would be credited with a year and half of time served. His lawyer Alan A. Ambramson issued this statement to XXL:
“Robert and Marcus Rosado accepted responsibility today for their role in the tragic incident that occurred in June 2009. They wish to express their deepest sympathies to the Guerrero family and they hope that by accepting responsibility he can bring some measure of closure to the family.”

I think people are misunderstanding this situation..He got credit for time served which was a little over 18 months and then got sentenced to 8 years which would still put him at a 10 year sentence..Its very common to get credit for time served when u take a plea deal

yeah^ thats why I dont understand the post tho really…Cuz in NYS, the sentencing judge has nothing to do with time served…they sentence u to w.e …then corrections adds up your time and gives u ur conditional release date or board dates or whatever from there…..
