I never doubted this kid’s talent. Ever since his first album, he’s been growing lyrically and been better ever since. His first album was dope too.
Back on this track, this is hella dope. With this track, Asher could stand against a lot of rappers, honest. I don’t care if he got a white man swag, I listen to his words and thats it. Spaghettie Tree y’all.

I hope this dude eventually gets his respect.. kinda the same shit Em went through after “my name is..” people can’t separate the artist from the “singles” he has to put out to make the label happy. If you listen to Asleep in the Bread Aisle you hear that theres a lot of dope shit on their mixed with the mainstream b.s. every artist has to throw in to sell.
I think ironically there is a reverse race thing that goes on. If you don’t relate to black people etc then a lot of the “street” niggas won’t listen.. they listen to Em cuz he is from Detroit, ran with a gang of black dudes, Dr. Dre endorsed.. lets be real.. was a lot more “wiggerish” when he first came out, go watch the interviews compared to now where he sounds white.
On the other hand.. Ash is a white boy from Penn.. that rapped about college on his first single.. talks distinctively “white”.. dresses and carries himself like the average all american college aged white dude. So people write him off or say that they hate his music or he sucks WITHOUT EVEN LISTENING. you can’t listen to The Raweth EP and say this cat ain’t got more skill then 99% of niggas doing it. IF this is the NBA.. ash like the Chicago Bulls, up and coming.. looking to take the crown down the road.
Look at other examples to prove my point.. where’s bubba sparxxx? on the flip side look how Paul Wall sold.. and he can’t rap worth a shit.. EVERY song of his is like he filled out a swishahouse ad lib sheet.. “screens falling.. candy dripping.. grillz shining..” then repeat.
Even on this site.. when niggas hate on EM.. they start naming some UNKNOWN white rappers from the underground that all sound “black” to say their better.. etc. etc..

Asher’s growth from his early releases are amazing. If you haven’t listened to Seared Foie Gras w/ Quince & Cranberry, I suggest you do. If you think he went hard on this, take a listen to that!

this track is really dope. the beat is fuckin ill, and the lyrics are really nice, and not the average shit. Asher’s flows pretty dope, deserves more recognition, hopefully with this next LP, these critics and other people that aint vibing start taking notice. Good sh Ash.
