A screening was held in NYC last night for 9th Wonder’s documentary, The Wonder Year. Presented by LRG and directed by Kenneth Price, the film chronicles 9th’s formative years up to now. Here’s footage from the event shot on the Rebel T2i. Young Guru gives his reaction of the film after the jump. Shouts to Dark Nyte.

We had a whole lot of superstars on this stage here tonight. But this is… Papoose's house? We're all still reeling that the 20th anniversary of Hip-Hop's Super Bowl featured the Nacirema Dream as a headliner. Damn you Kendrick Lamar and your generous ways. Yeah it's hip-hop to bum rush the show but c'mon Pap you know you didn't deserve that look. And you gave even less fucks by performing a new song. C'mon fam. You've paid a lot of dues through the years but this was the big dawg time in the program. Don't disrespect the game in your pursuit for fame. Oh well, Brooklyn took it.
Speaking of BK, Fab had a master plan of bringing Lil Kim and Foxy Brown back together again. But when it was time to make history, Fox Boogie was nowhere to be found. Where was you at? Wack.

Nice, I remember God’s Stepson, that was the first I heard of ninth. My friend who used to produce wrote him off as another Pete Rock clone. Glad to see that he’s grown into his own.

Um…I don’t know. I think I’d rather see a movie about RZA, Premier, Kid Capri…not a fruity loops commercial. Granted, he made some dope joints but really WHO has he done joints for besides the ONE for Hov and the LB catalogue?
