18,000 fans showed up to see Chris Brown this morning for NBC’s TODAY Show Concert Series. A record, according to host Al Roker. Below he performs his hits, “I Can Transfom Ya”, “Yeah 3x”, and “She Ain’t You”.

Album sales matter to a certain point. Artist don’t make money off of album sales, but off of concerts and live performances. So even if he goes only gold for his album, he’s still going to sell out all of his concerts where he gets most of his money.
Al’s right about Chris Brown’s numbers, but he’s mistaken about it being a record. The article I linked to is the actual Today show site, where it says Lady Goggles has the record with around 20k.
