@RK We getting more than one copy cuz we making a statement. album don’t sell like use to. It’s like we buying them and letting them sit on desk. I’m getting 5 copies 1 for me and giving my other 4 away as gifts.
I’m gonna download and give it a listen first, just like anything else, but I’m anticipating this album like a motherfucker. If Cole even comes close to my expectations, I’ll probably be giving away a few copies around Xmas anyway, so I’ll cop a few first week just to show support. I think hip hop (or really just music in general) needs a change, but its not gonna happen if the numbers aren’t there.
Niggas say Cole boring and has zero appeal…but, when he performs, all I hear are screaming fans. Dude is on a world tour. Great first week sales or not, dude has been winning heavy since 2009. Your reaching. Hard. When I see Lebron play, I see Michael Jordan influence. Does that mean I stop watching him? No, cuz hes interesting to watch. Cole interesting to listen to. He can sound like whoever rapper, but everybodies story is different…which is the only real difference between any artist we listen to. Stop reaching, not a good look.

Are u really complaining about J. Cole having influences? Name an artist that doesn’t. You think it’s a bad thing that at times, this guy sounds like the legends in their early days? #Facepalm. And hopefully you realize that a carbon copy means an exact replica of ONE artist. If someone can incorporate the sounds of several (very different) great artists and weave them together, that makes them a genius, not a copy. And if you really think J. Cole doesn’t add any of his own style to it, you obviously just hate the guy too much to actually listen to his music.
