  5. Your Father says:

Congratulations to the man, for real.
Universal were way in over their heads.
Had no idea what to do with him. Sent him to work with Pharrell on an entire album and couldn’t even foot the bill when they were done.
I hope Def Jam realized his real value.

  6. Trav1 says:

Nice. Asher is so underrated. Definitely better than Mac Miller in my opinion. This is great can’t wait for the mixtape

  7. Oj da Cornball says:

So this says Steve Rfikin SRC was a bad move? Nah, while Def Jam will give him a cool push, i don’t see him going to the top.
Then again I’m wrong, this is the rise of the white rappers. in a few years I see Hip Hop being lost to white people like Rock.

mac Miller #1 Cd, Em highest selling rapper of all time, Machine Gun Kelly, Yelawolf, Asher, Drake, gang of white chic rappers. Yup, we lost hip hop like rock.

Now i feel it was a conspiracy to “kill hip hop” and revive it the resurgence of white rappers. They’re currently more successful than urban rappers.

  8. RN (( Real Nigga )) says:

    i guess steve didn’t know what to do with kid… anyways… l’chaim.

  9. belly says:

sorry buddy hip hop has already hit its white boy quota, mac miller yelawolf and eminem, theres no need for you anymore

  17. Brutally Honest says:

Wow, Steve Rif must be ready to take his label elsewhere; since Barry Weiss became the Chairman of music over their …Steve’s artist have kind been put to the back-burner. Melanie Fiona had a few nice singles, but no promo with them; now this !!!! He should take SRC/Loud back to Sony and do a deal with Doug Morris

  36. killacrack says:

Yall funny claiming this clown is hot and he good but when he drops an album he goes double wood with a bottle of Old english. Come he alright but not worth a mixtape download. he been out for 4 yrs and Nada and he white Epic Fail!

  37. Diggiti says:

Someday ………. Just maybe Someday i can get that Steve Rifkind Success GUT .

Let ALL the white boys in ! Heres my Hypothesis :

MC Hammer got people into the RAP department of Record Stores (when they HAD Record stores)
and it led to the Success of Death Row. Because people like THE REAL.

All the people that felt stupid for liking Vanilla ICE’s ” ICE ICE Baby ” eventually went on and supported the REAL shit. They just didnt know any better.

The same thing can happen again as long as people dont get discouraged … like Black Rockers, or Black Jazz Players, keep making music
