Now to @Freddy Long i agree with you about Rick Ross. A lot of critical acclaim but none of that has equated to commercial success. Not one album Ross has ever released went platinum. And although record sales mean nothing when compared to good music, there is always that time when you have to pay the label back for all the money that they invested in you.
All the money they have invested him has yet to be recouped. And that cant happen with Gold Plaques.
I really dont think French is dropping anything, I mean look at Red cafe.
People are so quick to bring up sells when it’s an artist they don’t like but if it were Talib Kweli, Wu Tang, and all the other so called REAL HIP HOP artists who don’t sell, sells don’t matter. Its about the music when its your favorite artist but because we’re talking about Ross, sells all of a sudden matter. Much success to MMG team. At first i was suspect when Everyday Im Hustlin came out, until it grew on me Where My Money was my joint, cause in my hood both of those songs we could relate to. Omarion Touch was a good dance track if you chrograph, but he should have came out a solo artist before getting in a boy band so that is still what most will see him as. I dont hear Stalley getting that much credit when he has skills. French Montana i watched his first ever dvd when he was a young cat with Remy Ma, he claims everyone is his brother, but half of the artist have came out the Bronx & been had a deal so i think he should have been signed along time ago. When French was underground his beats & flows were more polished now i think he`s just getting in where he fit in trying to go Hollywood to fast. Last thing on French he needs to start showing up more earlier to his shows & give the fans what they paid for, communicate more with his fans on twitter & stop worrying about people who already , but congrats to MMG.
