J. Dilla “Clap Your Hands” Freestyle

Next week marks J.Dilla’s 33rd birthday and 5th year anniversary of his death. So to celebrate his legacy, Bling47 releases an unreleased freestyle from Jay Dee. Encore!

I got this one on a cassette from T3 circa 1997.  I’m not sure what it was for, or why Dilla had this on tape, but I thought it was hilarious.  “Shut the Fuck Up and listen to this… this.”   This kind of style was typical for our crew at this time – we were just finishing up the Fantastic Vol 1 album.  It was never about what they said – but instead how they said it.  We called it “R.A.W.” –  Rugged And wild.  And that is exactly what this one is – tape hiss and all. Enjoy – Jeedo

^^^ The beat is not whack son. That being said, Jay Dee never claimed to be a good or dope rapper.

No shots @Big Homie, but Dilla would be turning 38. He was born in ’74. It’s cool though. Just nice to see anybody at Rap Radar acknowledging him and before anybody starts poppin’ shit, this is a “freestyle”. On top of that, an unreleased one until now.
