the winner is…….Nasir Jones, Nasty Nas

  2. dwight says:

    King of hiphop

  3. mothAfuckinPrince says:

NAS live performances are weak . even with roots . sometimes it sounds like he forgets words or maybe he just out of breath . dunno . still weak

  4. no doubt says:

This performance was far from weak…the song Nasty was actually sounding good with a live band because I didn’t think it would. Nice job Nasir & The Roots!

  5. huh says:

how can the greatest mc have such a monotonous stage presence? not a fan of drake or wayne but they at least engage their audience by giving that energy….or maybe nas got them old knees now? shame, hes snapping on records harder than ever

Nas has never been the type of performer to be bouncing around or run up and down on stage slapping hands with the audience. He has always been mellow. At the age of 38 Nas looks younger than both Wayne, Drake and the rest of his hip hop peers. This perfamance was cool. Nas cotinue flexing your skills on the mic.

  8. m says:

I dunno what people complaining about this aint a bounce around type a song this is a raw spitting song and nas performed it well

  9. missedgyc says:

smh @ all the haters comments above

NAS stage presence is good, the audience of the show is not particularly on hip hop mode!!!!.

NAS >>>>>>>>>>>>> ONE OF THE GREATEST RAPPER ALIVE.

  10. loch121 says:

  13. Chris says:

    Performance was dope to me.

  14. J Szumada says:

Everyone that has been around long enough to remember when hip hop/rap was good can appreciate this performance. Not many can put together and spit a verse like nas. “Solid” is all I can say! You want a stage show your lookin at the wrong Mc. They loop this weak shit daily on your local radio/video station so just stay tuned and you will be satisfied. Nas sucks is like saying that lil Wayne is the best rapper alive. It sounds good but real hip hoppers know its not the truth!!! Wyane and most other Mc out there wish they could spit like Nas…shit, I wish they could because Im sick of the garbage!!! It’s tinny bopper hip hop made for teenagers hanging out in clubs! It was refreshing to hear ya nas! Show me how it’s done!!

@loch121 i have no problems with his style , its just sometime sounds like he gets stuck or something . Song is dope tho and of course Roots did an amazing job as usual .

  17. GTFOH says:

Some of you people are out of your f-ckin mind. This dude clearly rip this sh-t. He out there solo with clear concise lyrics without a bunch a dudes in the back round saying sh-t to muffle his lyrics. Plus yall don’t even listen to the subliminals ” To Godly to be Bugatti” ” No fake CD listen”. If you from N.Y. you know this dude style and you look for the messages in his music and what he don’t condone in hip hop. Programed radio got you programed.

The Illuminate uses artist to program people. Music artist are used as a tool to spread hate, violence, and all sorts of other evils through their music. They are very good at corrupting the minds of children and teenagers to give them the belief that life is all about having money, fame and sex.

  18. huh says:

what? its not possible to rip the mic AND have some energy (at least to move around the stage a bit)?? he doesnt have to jump around like a retard, but have some intensity(yea laidback ppl can do that too). face it, all nas has to do is show up to the venue and y’all will hug on his nuts no matter what. Im feeling the track, im feeling the rhymes, nas is my favorite mc, wish he could control the stage like he controls the mic. thats it.
constructive criticism > dick-riding but ill let you tell it.

  22. ColoradoKnight says:

Great performance. The Roots killed it as well.

  23. GTFOH says:

@huh what you want him to fuk-in dance you new school b-tch. It’s called line for line with now hook dumb a-ss. Your favorite rapper don’t got bars they need hooks. He built for brutal rap engagement when dudes were tested on their skills level in the parks in N.Y.C.

  25. Keith says:

Nas has always sounded really good with a live band backing him. Can’t wait for that Life Is Good LP. Shout out to Jimmy Fallon for continuing to give a platform for hip hop.

  26. Mr. Noetol says:

This performance was solid. It’s a hard song to sing and he gets all the words on beat. Try singing along, you’ll probably fumble the sh*t and look like a bitch. Jay wouldn’t dare writing a song like this and if he performed he’d only do one verse.
