Trayvon didn’t know who he was either. He didn’t have on a police uniform or identify himself as an officer. Even if Trayvon attacked first (which I highly doubt) he only did it to protect himself from this weird person that was following him that he didn’t know. Zimmerman was told by the dispatcher to stand down and don’t approach. Members of neighborhood watch are warned not to approach a suspect and Zimmerman disregarded this advice because he is a wannabe police officer.

the unfortunate part in all of this is that Trayvon was murdered, and as far as we all know, didn’t do a thing to deserve it. While race obviously seems to be a factor in this case and the way it is handled, this should be a wake up call.
People are murdered everyday. Blacks by whites. whites by blacks. mexicans. asians. it doesn’t matter what color the skin. The social injustices are definitely a factor, but we should do something to stop violence like this no matter the circumstance.
Hopefully this case, and the stand that is being made against it, can help this in the future.
