Damn, I feel for Bow Wow man. Dude still has no clue what kind of rapper he wants to be. Its hard to find a lane tho I admit because these days, everybody does a little bit of everything and we’ve seen rappers succeed in lanes ppl thought were dead like Cole doing real life shit, nothing too clubby or poppy. Even Wale sold well without dropping any unrespectable music IMO. All his singles were cool. But what does Bow Wow rap about? Ask anyone. They dont know.
Bow Wow can feel free to go the Tyga route, but he flopped at the end of the day. Big Sean too. Big Sean wanted singles like M&G and A$$ but didnt wanna focus on real shit like Memories or What Goes Around so ppl wrote him off as a party dude, and ppl dont wanna invest they money in a dude that just talks party shit all album. And they judge that by what singles you put out. Theyll buy those. Not the albums.
