Grand Hustle’s first lady held a show last night at The Roxy in L.A. She brought out Nipsey Hussle and premiered her new record “Me Myself, My Money” off her EP, Glory.

Ever since I heard her steal kendrick lamar’s flow I lost all respect for her and everything she puts out is considered trash to me

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not even close to a fan, but my reasons are more centered around the fact that I’ve never liked a single song/verse/anything from her. But just to be fair, I did see an interview where she said that she did that track specifically to be like her version of Look Out For Detox because she was so blown away by Kendrick. That’s why there’s the slave master comment, the same flow, etc.
Still, not an artist that’s worth any time. And here I went and spent 5 minutes. Must be a lazy Sunday.
I just don’t understand….maybe it’s just me, but it seems like ever since she started rocking with Grand Hustle that she’s acquired this new fake southern girl accent and dialect that sounds forced and corny. I’m pretty sure tip is either writing her stuff for her or helping her out with her bars now, but damn does that mean she has to try and sound like him now too??
I would fuck with her new shit more if she just sounded like her self – voice wise – instead of having to pick up the accent and sound like the person she’s signed with.

If you’re right, and TIP is writing her lyrics (wouldn’t be remotely surprised) then that’s probably why she’s doing the accent. Rhymes have a lot to do with dialect- listen to “Another One” where Rick Ross ghostwrote Diddy’s verse, and you’ll understand exactly what I mean. Maybe she’s just trying too hard to pick up the accent so that she can use the rhymes.
Has Kid Sister said anything about this chick…that looks and sounds exactly like her hahahahahah
