Controversy stirred up last week after Sai’s interview with SOHH. While out in Germany, he charged up the cam to set the record straight and previews his new track (6:10 mark).

Sai cool & all, but as politicians say if you have to explain yourself, your message was lost in translation the first time. And a over 6 minute video, in an age where people can’t stare at a website for more than 2 minutes, is a lost.

  2. Truu says:

Everything he said in the initial interview was so true, Idk why he retracted on it. It was like he punked out. Dude be a man of your word, say what you want to say as a man. Its not like you suck as a rapper, you’re actually a good rapper. And Rick Ross really is making a lot of money off ignorant lies. and even if its true its us the black community it affects. Listen to Ab-Soul and Kendrick they address shit like this but subliminally and ironically just so the wise will get it.

  3. Truu says:

    @JustMyOpinion
Maybe you can’t but I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people like me who do.

  4. JL says:

I agree with Truu, everything he said in that first interview was relevant and competely true, the only way he has messed up was retracting it and looking weak.. If he really believes what he said then he should have stood by it..

  5. Cause I Can says:

The reason i think he didn’t want the fans to know he doesn’t like william is cause he knows what the fans are like when you speak the truth and speak your mind you get a lot of hate and people turn on you a lot of the artists that fuck with william probably dont like him but they can’t afford not to in todays industry

    Or justblaze got involved

Whatever the case what he said was 100% true

  6. ZoomZoomDad-Otis says:

“everything he said in that first interview was relevant and competely true”…1000% correct. William L. Roberts pics of him in a C.O. uniform. First things out of his mouth were it was “photoshop”. This dude basically SPITS in peoples faces and tell them its raining. People kill with him “he makes good music” thats B.S.

  7. JustMyOpinion says:

@ Truu I don’t understand what you wrote. My badd. You talking about stare at a website? You might’ve lost my point.

  8. Anonymous says:

    Amen, fight the good fight.
He’s sayin it’s bigger than Rick Ross. For every dollar Ross makes there’s a corporate board of directors who make 10x as much. Ross is a pawn in a cultural game of chess. Promoting the destruction of the community is a lucrative business for a very select few.

  9. Anonymous says:

NIGGAS IN THE INDUSTRY ARE SCARED TO DISS RICK ROSS NOW LOL !!!!

MY ONLY PROBLEM IS HIM STEPPING BACK ON EVERYTHING HE SAID DURING THAT INTERVIEW!!!! WHICH WAS ALL TRUE !!!

WE ALL KNOW ROSS IS A FRAUD.. THATS A FACT!!! HES JUST REALLY AFRAID TO COME THROUGH WITH HIS STATEMENT ABOUT ROSS !!!

ROSS MUST HAVE REALLY MADE SOME STRONG CONNECTIONS IN THE INDUSTRY AFTER THAT C.O. THING CAME OUT.

…I THINK HE GAVE DIDDY THE ASS!!! HA!!!!

DONT YOU HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!!

  10. jj says:

Salute to Saigon, a true stand up black man!

We as black people got to take control and ownership of the music industry (all industries in general) from the white supremacist racist corporations. These white supremacist racist corporations exploit black artist

  11. Kemosabi says:

There was a way to get his point out without specifically naming names because let’s be honest it’s not just a Rick Ross thing. When dudes are on national tv with chains that say coke boys, and mixtapes about hard white there’s a problem. There is alot of things the media won’t show you so ask yourself why we are looking at certain images. I think some of us can differentiate entertainment from reality the problem is the rap game is being infiltrated by just the entertainment. Basketball wives, Kim K on rap blogs, Beiber songs featuring “rappers” on this very website. Sai sounds like he wants that old thing back like alot of us but unlike us when he voices his distain it’ll cost him cause like it or not those ppl he was putting on blast are running this. At the end of the day though as a man never throw dirt and hide your hand

  12. REAL PAP says:

    @JJ

we as black folks were actually on our way towards true black ownership in the industry until Russell Simmons sold Def Jam in the 90’s. but we’re talking about entertainment here, conservative execs are profiting on negative influential entertainment on the black community. the only person of the black community in the entertainment business thats made as much money as the white execs without having to sellout to negative destructive content is Tyler Perry.

as for us fans/consumers, its up to us differentiate whats realistic and what fake in the music and movies, and also show our youths that.

  13. BAT says:

Its entertainment all rappers verses are all 90 % BS anyway

  14. drew says:

Saigiddy!!!! Good to see you fightin bro show’em what time it is Mooseknuckle stand up. You gotta link up with Dee-1 and Mos Def you need a movement.

  15. get bucks says:

You’re not 2Pac, because Makaveli made HIT MUSIC! You’re a decent rapper, but your music don’t generate interest like the people who you dislike. Maybe Jus Blaze can give you some of that heat that he lacin’ everybody else with.

2012 is the year sneak hating dies asap

  16. BlackAnastasia says:

@RealPap:Tyler Perry movies are as destructive to the BlsckWomen community as Rap music because it plays off of Blackwoman stereotypes with coonish imagery.

  17. BlackAnastasia says:

    Black Community.Typo..

  18. efdee says:

Sai speaks the truth n i aint even black

  19. Kemosabi says:

@Black Anastasia I have that same argument all the damn time. That Madea thing looks like minstrel show and after that I can’t lie I’ve completely tuned Tyler Perry out, but aside from that I’ve heard he has good flicks I just don’t happen to know of them. We should support the brother though and even Steve Harveys movie even though I can’t stand his self righteous ass either. White America has shit directors to we have to support our shit cause it’s all we have till we kick in the doors completely.

  20. go says:

Sagion deff gonna sell records after this is DOPE!!!

  21. Heyhey says:

90% of these rappers are living in their own world with their fairytales. Probably 10-20 rappers who really lived what they rapping bout!!!! and Ross is obviously not one of ’em

  26. the void says:

not that theres anything wrong with being gay but this nigga saigon is mad homo! nigga loves posing shirtless. nigga got turned out in jail.

  27. the One says:

Yo Im a ride with this brotha never been much of a fan so can’t speak on the music yet but from now on I’ll be listening as it is about time someone stands up again against the bull shit some of these niggers are spewing into the community !! Its like that video I HATE HOOD RATS!!! Funny but true!

  28. sway-z says:

I was wit him til he said he was Malcolm X & Martin Luther. No you definitely not that, nigga, fighting shitty ass coon music isn’t the same as fighting against oppression for human rights and dignity. That being said, he’s right with everything else

  29. WACKJUICE says:

I LIKE SAI AND ALL BUT THIS MAN DIDNT STICK BY HIS WORD. STRAIGHT PUNK SHIT. HE SHOULDVE STUCK TO HIS GUNS. EVERYTHING HE MENTIONED WAS TRUE. RICK ROSS AMONG OTHERS ARE PROMOTING THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR COMMUNITY WITH THEIR COONERY. SHUCKIN AND JIVIN TO KEEP MASSA HAPPY. SAI I’LL FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS BUT DONT EVER SAY SOME SHIT THEN NOT STAND BY IT AGAIN BRO. THAT IS COWARDICE AT ITS FINEST.

  30. zeee says:

    its rap radar

  31. @donricoesq says:

Why would SAI back track from what Everything he said WHen it was BANG on! Its refreshing to hear the truth instead of all thisass kissing going on

  32. King says:

  34. he right but i see why he retracted the statements he didn’t know how girl was recording but hey dude stand ya ground that’s why folks respect ya just don’t come out a week later screaming i said it cause then people will look at you like i thought you said you didn’t say it THAT’S NOT RAP THAT’S REAL

  35. kayandgee says:

i feel what sai is saying but i hate it when people use rick ross for excuses, he makes his music, very well and entertains his fans, very well, leave him be and do you

  36. YOU CAN'T KILL ME says:

SAIGON IS A PUSSY. HE’S SCARED OF ROSS AND THEM.

    WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

  37. Donald says:

    SAI-GIDDY GIVE IT UP BRUH

  38. @AmmiNasi says:

He made some pretty valid statements but they were all negated by that vacuous closing statement!! He tells everyone to “get they money” after stressing the importance of accountability for the negative msgs being emanated from pop culture…I’m confused Sai!!

  39. @AmmiNasi says:

@Yr: Exactly!! I mean, whenever my children ask me something that I may not have the “consummate” ans. to, I consult various sorts of reference material; i.e; Google, Dictionaries and so on…

  40. skizott says:

    Great message Sai
