  27. Fat Matt says:

kinda weird… all the sites i visit mentions swizz yesterday…. and then today the shit gets shot down……. how long was his name in the about us section…….. i never read that shit hmmmmmmmm

  28. Oj da Cornball says:

I don’t believe own that site. it’s likely he was brought on as CEO. he’s not owner.
the story will come out clearer.

  29. CL says:

swizz beatz was obviously used to shut down the company….. his backbone = universal and the riaa

  30. Oj da Cornball says:

Ok, i get what’s going on.
Swizz was bought asa CEO so that company could get celebrity endorsement through Swizz.

SMH Rap Radar acting like Swizz owned it. lol

  31. CL says:

lol the riaa website is also down

  32. onanigga says:

Sad day for the internet. There are dead links all over the fucking place!

  33. CL says:

so the ceo wasn’t charged eh…

  34. CL says:

The federal authorities on Thursday announced that they had charged seven people connected to the Web site Megaupload, including its founder, with running an international criminal enterprise centered on copyright infringement on the Internet.

  35. CEO says:

Shit, good thing 4shared and sendspace is still up. I don’t wanna buy people trash singles/albums.

  36. In Your Fucking Face says:

Sounds Like UMG Pulled Some Strings And Gave Swizz A Warning. No More Fuckery Your Our Bitch… lol

  37. Hip-Hop Fiend says:

Swizz not mad he gets to go and fuck Alicia Keys every night.

  38. NotoriousRambo. says:

  39. THE P says:

THE PLAN IS TO CONTROL THE INTERNET AS THEY DO TV

  40. Dope Boy Fresh says:

    LMAO BK a fool

but seriously…..not many artists are really bitchin about downloads.
it’s the government who’s willing to shut the whole internet down JUST to stop downloading. smfh
watch how album sales drop! because nobody knows what the fuck is going on in Music.
only if they’re watching that mtv and bet bullshit.

  41. Oj da Cornball says:

Swizz is cleared cause they found out he’s not a “real CEO”, but a celebrity in position for marketing purpose. don’t be fooled.

  42. Word says:

Yeah their video player shitted on a lot of other video players.

  43. The Riddler says:

I have/had a premium account with megaupload, fuuck!! luckily we still have rapidshare, mediafire fileserve, filesomic, 4shared, 2shared, and tons more. P.s torrents can be tracked so easily theres even youtube tutorials on how to do it.

  44. Mauri says:

Let’s be real. It’s Politics as Usual. Most politicians are CEOs or owners of companies. They’re the ones losing money on illegal downloads. They’re the ones proposing SOPA/PIPA. There’s only 3 major labels and most film distributors are losing money. MGM claimed bankruptcy. Politicians’ pockets aren’t hurting, just not what they used to be. We’re going to pay for it and our Internet is going to end up like China. Fuck corporate America. Chuuuch.

  45. Thetruth says:

Why arrest people you have to release? They do nothing different than YouTube, iCloud, Dropbox. You upload shit other people download your shit, if a copyright complaint is sent in that’s valid said item is taken down. Purpose of this arrest without SOPA is pointless.

  46. yaboy says:

swizz was not “behind” megaupload. SMH

  47. jake says:

taking away downloads only takes away from artist exposure. this is a bad economy where we aren’t automatically going to go buy all the music we would download. like anybody theres a few artists ill pay money to hear but a lot aren’t the same priority and i can’t afford hundreds of cds all the time. i do see their shows sometimes after listening to a free cd. so in a way thats paying for their music cuz i would have never known to see the show otherwise. artists with enough talent to get real recognition get plenty of money and should be happy people even want to hear their music, free or not.

  48. carlos says:

Swizz is not not and never been the CEO of MegaUpload, CEO is Kim Dotcom. The were talks of him becoming CEO but it never happened, that’s why he is cleared from the whole thing

  49. Time2Move says:

swizz didnt own the site. he was just brought in as ceo recently to spearhead megabox from megaupload. artists can sell their stuff on megabox and keep 90%. they were going after labels and itunes and trying to get established artists aboard thru swizz.

  50. the great zeee says:

now that megaupload is down i guess we can all just start using wetransfer.com

  51. JustMyOpinion says:

@ Oj da cornball – couldn’t have said it better. This was a case of a lie catching up with you, real quick. Can’t wait for the video (interview) of him saying , something to the effect of, we in “talks” for me to a “part” of the company. YEAH, part of marketing, that’s it.

  52. The Truth says:

Swizz Beats is the CEO people. Dont you see he is in damage control now and to avoid charges or jail he is doing all he can with Megauploads people to clear his name. HGow does his publicist say he was the CEO, its on the site too, but then MegaUpload says he was never the CEO? Smells fishy to me. That cell phone bill must be going through the roof with the international calls to Japan. Hope his family plan has unlimited international minutes too… Cmon Swizz… We see right through you like Swiss Cheese… You messed up. Cool. I would run too if I was you and clear my name, but anyone with a brain sees right through the smoke and mirrors you are throwing up!

  53. petey wheatstraw (@http://da-sauce.proboards.com) says:

  55. Musikal says:

  56. the void says:

so swizz wasnt the CEO. swizz wasnt named in the indictment. whats the point of this post? you can take it down now.

  57. First sopa now swizz says:

This nigga swizz was listed on the megaupload website as ceo the day before the feds started arresting folks. I know because I went to the “about us” tab on the mega upload site after I read the artical about swizz being ceo on this site. How this nigga earn a get out of jail free card?
